I used to read some of the A McCarthy stuff and think he was mostly unbiased. Things have changed? By that much?
I think we are seeing the fantasies of a never-Trumper writ large.
But, things will probably get worse before they get better.
.
I have a family member with Dementia, and they are lucid 14 hours of the day. They call them episodes when he loses touch and is so confused.
.
Wishful thinking from the phony republicans at NR.
It was the RINOs who created the Deep State after 9 / 11 to begin with, so they’re salivating at the prospect of fake indictments against Trump.
Of course, they can’t stop Don Trump Jr from running, can they. With his father’s help and money, he’d be a shoe-in, so good luck with all that, RINOs.
“So, alleged crimes that could not even exist but for the investigation itself.”
If Trump didn’t surround himself with sycophant morons during the last month of his presidency, and paid attention to reality, he would have just declassified everything he took and this would be a complete non-issue. But like a dozen other times in his presidency, this is self destruction.
Guaranteed he’ll be indicted and convinced and sent to prison.
I may have undiagnosed “vehicular turrets”.
“Guaranteed he’ll be indicted and convinced and sent to prison.”
Indicted, and offered a plea that will prevent him from ever running for any office.
.
LMAO
Very possible, also with some sort of gag order.
.
I’ve never liked McCarthy.
He approves of the corrupt methods too many times for my taste.
Yep. It looks to me like the Biden administration is Obama’s illegal 3rd term. He sets the goals and Ron Klain, Susan Rice and a few others implement it. Joe is indeed the perfect meat puppet for the role. Weekend at Bernie’s material, but still breathing.
I hope not. But I wouldn’t be surprised if those ghouls do.
“Almost everybody at NR has been suckled on the poison of Managerial Revolution”
That would be especially ironic considering that James Burnham wrote for the early National Review
Exactly. NR is full of neocons.
That is true, but he was a U.S. Prosecutor, IIRC. Not to be trusted in the end.
given the evidence presented in the media, if an indictment doesn’t come out of this investigation, it will have to be accompanied by a James Comey style statement that mirrors what he said to wipe away the Hillary crimes.
I do want to note that I believe Trump was profoundly stupid in keeping marked classified information that he declared “declassified” in storage bins with its original markings and protected from public release. Nobody in history has done this before and without extensive documentation that all of those documents were not classified, they’re going to be treated as such by the current regime and probably even “reclassified” so Trump’s order will end up moot. He should have released as soon as he declassified if that was his intention and documented the hell out of everything. Yes it’s unfair to demand that, but we’re not living in fair times.
I don’t think the zealots in DC would be satisfied by that, so an indictment is what I expect, and a DC trial with a DC judge and DC jury is what I expect they want to set up.
Trump would most likely ultimately prevail with the intervention of the Supreme Court, but it could take years and he wouldn’t avoid the ride and the DC establishment would love to use the clearance as a reason to further undermine the Court, unless it was remade in a different ideological image during that time.
You think he told them that?
I rather suspect that HE is told what to ‘think’...
I don’t think there is any reason to not trust him here - he is just giving his opinion of what is going on. He isn’t rooting for it.
It is kinda obvious in retrospect - FBI/DOJ/Whitehouse aren’t going to kick the hornet’s nest without a plan to indict.
