Israel predicted increased defense exports to Japan on Tuesday as the Asian economic powerhouse signals intent to boost military spending amid more assertive Chinese conduct in the region.
Tokyo has been reviewing post-World War Two caps on its armed forces budget amid growing concern Russia's invasion of Ukraine will embolden China to threaten neighboring self-ruled Taiwan, an island it claims as its own.
Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party wants to double defense spending to 2% of GDP, which would make Japan's military budget the world's third-biggest.
Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz noted the shift in Japanese policy as he wrapped up a two-day visit to Tokyo with the signing of a bilateral defense cooperation memorandum.

I don’t believe Japan has them. I believe they could have them very quickly if they wanted to. They certainly have the knowledge, the facilities, the money, etc.
If Japan spends 2% of GDP on defense, their forces will be quite capable.

If the only response you have is nuclear, nothing conventional, you are totally helpless.
Japan has a well-funded and professional “defense force” and with their technical prowess they are guaranteed to have advanced weapons that few know about.
And China has millions of gung ho fanatics, and a leadership that is hungry for conquests and revenge (on Japan especially). They should beef it up considerably.
And nation shall rise against nation.

Japan’s leaders are surely wise enough to know they can’t depend on America for protection anymore. Continued Democrat voter fraud means one of two outcomes, both of which bode ill for Japan: (1) normal Americans like us “grin and bear it,” meaning ever more illegitimate socialist governments that can’t and won’t do anything to deter Chinese aggression against Japan, or (2) we don’t grin and bear it, meaning civil war that will rip America apart and remove it from the equation. Japan and its allies must protect themselves from the big red dragon either way.
Iwo Jima has conventional forces ready.
