Ironically, on June 30, 2022, Field & Stream did an in-depth look at the “Five Fastest Rifle Cartridges” and the two AR-15 rounds, .223 and 5.56, did not even make the cut.

I don’t own an AR. Have dies to reload .223 and some brass for it. I have loaded it for a family member.
Most of what I shoot is 30 caliber, or larger.
I have a .308 that is very accurate at long range and plenty fast.
An AR-15 bullet isn’t really that fast, it’s just that once it breaks the speed of light it goes backward in time and hits the target before it was even fired. That’s hard to measure.
When my mother was diagnosed with brain atrophy, she would say the most outlandish things like Biden does and she was absolutely convinced it was true. Things he says should just be given as much weight as the stories my mother would spin.

Standard NATO 5.56 with 55gr bullet travels 3250 fps. Divide that by 5 and we get 650 FPS... medium power BB-gun speed!
So about 15,000 fps. Makes the old .270 look like it’s standing still.
I couldn’t duck a .32cal on 7/14/75, and still carry it near my spine, inside my pelvis.

I guess attempts to quietenize them with a suppressor would be totally useless. The sonic boom would be what, about 400 decibels at 10,000 yards?
Be sure to wear ear muffs over your earplugs. One magazine load would wear out your barrel, the last dozen of them would be flying off randomly at about 20 MOA.
You also need to hold the gun awkwardly and poke it forward when firing.
