Former Washington Field Office Special Agent in Charge Tim Thibault was reportedly escorted out of the Bureau's headquarters on Friday, amid whistleblower allegations that he showed political bias in his handling of politically sensitive investigations.
The Washington Times reported eyewitness accounts that "Mr. Thibault was seen exiting the bureau’s elevator last Friday escorted by two or three 'headquarters-looking types.'"
Whistleblowers alleged that Thibault concealed the partisan nature of evidence from FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland to secure their approval to open an investigation into former President Donald Trump. That investigation culminated in the FBI's raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate earlier this month.
The public release of the affidavit that accompanied the search warrant revealed the warrant application relied heavily on information from news articles, including a CBS Miami piece titled "Moving Trucks Spotted At Mar-a-Lago" and a Breitbart News article in which former Trump adviser Kash Patel discussed the classified status of documents the bureau previously removed from the estate on behalf of the National Archives.

Actually the source is in the article, speaking on the record, and is a 7 term senator who is the ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee who oversees this part of the DOJ and who was informed directly by the DOJ.

Multiple News outlets were talking about this guy - Tim Thibault - on June 1st and early June.
On July 25th, Grassley says he was reassigned. Raid is August 8th.
To me, it looks like this guy did his damage with the Hunter Biden case. He ordered it closed, effectively. He stopped source streams by labeling them disinformation.
Wray is publicly saying that he going to a new assignment before the Raid.
What’s troubling, is Hunter Biden’s case is inactive.
It was moved to Baltimore office, and that’s a sure sign it’s not a case of interest.

Look at the Timing.
On July 26th Grassley says he’s been providing Wray info on Thibeau for two months. On July 26th, Grassley said he was reassigned.
The Raid is August 8th.
By then he was known and Wray acknowledged it in Public Hearings.
This guy was a real criminal - in the Hunter Biden case.
They were just late for happy hour.

Timothy Thibault, an assistant special agent in charge, was forced to leave his post. The information came from two former FBI officials familiar with the situation.
