They fear Trump. Period. Yes, DeSantis is an attractive candidate, but he DOES NOT have the loyal following that Trump has. Lest you forget, Trump got the MOST votes of any incumbent President in my lifetime. Deep blue states padded Biden’s vote count but it really came down to few votes that were all found in the suspect counties AFTER election night.

The left knows.

The GOPe knows.

The courts know.

They can deny it all they want but there is FAR MORE scrutiny on elections now and without the pandemic measures there is NO WAY Biden or Newsome or Mayor Pete would come close to those numbers. However, you can BET that after 4 years of this insanity that Trump will get more votes than he did in 2020.

DeSantis is the heir apparent to Trump based on his performance in Florida, but this is still Trump’s election and they know it. Why do you think they raided his home? Unprecedented. They are throwing everything and the kitchen sink at him and have done so for 6 years.

Assuming he maintains his health it is his election. IF they indict him it will still be his election. All they do is make him stronger in a last gasp of selfish rage.

People forget how they demonized Reagan, demonized Bush Sr, W, demonized Romney, and even demonized McCain. It is what they do..... is our nation supposed to select a President because they don’t trigger Joy Reid, Scarborough, Mika, Rachel, the View, or the CNN crew? Seriously? A few million mushy types just did that and how is it working out?

I bet they regret their choice. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Trump is the most existential threat to the globalist agenda that one could imagine. I truly fear for his safety because for all his warts he truly does not give a damn what they think or want. He is very Reagan-like in that regard even if many of us wish he had the charm of Ronaldus Magnus.

However, I am done with the Beauty Pageantry when I select a CEO for the nation. Never again. If people want another Ken doll they should go pick up a Barbie house.

Furthermore, we are going to get “Trump II Unleashed” and he learned a LOT of hard lessons in round 1. He will have a much more MAGA congress so there is an opportunity to legislate stuff that benefits the American people versus the executive order routine that every President, regardless of party, now seems to rely on.

The globalist cabal knows what I wrote is true and that is why they remain in such hysterics. Too many people are attracted to DeSantis because they are fatigued with the left-wing and RINO hysteria about Trump. I like Ron for what he is doing in Florida and his ideas, but nobody in my lifetime, including Reagan whom I adore, did it better than Trump despite all that was thrown at him (and still is).

He has EARNED my support.

No. DeSantis does not make foolish statements such as, “the FBI should make America great again”. The FBI should be disbanded.

“””DeSantis can run in 28, we first must allow Trump to revenge our lost 4 years due to a corrupt Federal Government followed by a Chinese bio-weapons attack ...”””

Let me add-—

What the Democrats really fear is Trump running and winning in 2024 and then DeSantis running and winning in 2028 and 2032.

Agree. They wouldn’t be using a criminal and partisan DOJ and FBI to raid Trump’s home otherwise.

Even if Trump decides to not run, DeSantis would run over the Democrats like a 70 ton M1 Abrams.

Maybe DeSantis received some death threats.

De Santis really knows how to take it to the Demonrats. Wanna talk smart, Disney? Let’s see about all those nice concessions Florida granted to you. I like the guy. I’m a Trump man but I could definitely get behind De Santis.

You’ve got it wrong. Plenty of solid conservatives prefer DeSantis to Trump.

I think you read my post backwards.

Maybe the same ones who were fine with a republican prez locking down, restricting travel, masking, mail in ballots and bumpstock bans.
I believe it was more than 3.
Unprecedented level of freedom lost, to never be regained. The future state of our children used to cause people of principal to resist.
About 5% are, excluding the J6 group.
If trump would step out and say heck yeah, he would do it again or no.. it would be great.
Otherwise, his national policies are mushy middle to left. International, rockstar.
My future generations matter more than winning, matter more than party.

If it will REALLY cause them to leave, I’ll seriously consider DeSantis as the nominee.

They won't. Like everything else in their life, it's all promise and no follow through.

There does exist a block of voters who supported Trump in the last two elections that will not vote for him again. (My DW is among them.)

I'm in the camp that will energetically support whomever emerges as the GOP nom, be it Trump or DeSantis. That said, DeSantis (Yale grad then Harvard Law, US Navy Veteran and Bronze Star awardee, and proven track record as a US Congressman then Fl Gov) has more to offer GOP and Indie voters. (Even some Dems).

A few things that the Dems fear about DeSantis.

1. He is likeable and trustworthy, in the mold of Ronald Regan. DeSantis is diplomatic yet strong.

2. He possesses a broad knowledge of issues, from local to state to federal to international, and he can express himself in a convincing-but-not off-putting way. Just imagine DeSantis in the debates, both GOP and national and you can see why the Dems are worried about him.

3. And, the best that I can infer, DeSantis is organized and not given to off-the-cuff smack-downs of nobodies who just want to get his goat.

That’s certainly a reasonable concern on this side. Many thanks for pointing out that critical factor. Cheers!

"...It’s really amazing that the Democrats recognize & respect the governing competence of DeSantis when they themselves are screwing up left, right & center..."

If they really respected the governing competence of DeSantis, it would be him they would attack.

But it isn't DeSantis they are attacking 24x7, it is Trump. And that should tell you the entire story right there.

“It is clear now that they want to run against Trump, not DeSantis.”

Probably one of the more stupid conclusions ever posted on this site.
