Why Democrats fear DeSantis more than Trump
BPR Business and Politics ^ | Steve Hecht

The Mar-a-Lago raid and hiring of 87,000 new IRS agents created by the Orwellian-named Inflation Reduction Act are part of the same agenda. Democrats, having failed to attain their short-term goals, are arranging to keep their totalitarian agenda alive through Republican congresses and possibly a presidential administration.

The widespread belief that the Biden regime wants to prevent Donald Trump from running for president in 2024 is mistaken. If Trump does not run, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will be our next president. Many people would vote for DeSantis who would not vote for Trump because of Democrats’ and their partners’ seven years of demonizing him. On the other hand, all Trump voters would also vote for DeSantis because he has proved himself in Florida, and their policies are essentially the same.

Dems/Marxists policies suck, but they are not stupid. They had to know that by raiding Mar-a-Lago, two things would happen. (1) Trump would get nice bump up in the polls, and (2) Trump would be more determined than ever to run in 2024. That's just what happened. Their objective wasn't to prevent him from running. It was bury him in more drama (law suits, court fights, etc.) so he would be easier to beat. It is clear now that they want to run against Trump, not DeSantis. They fear DeSantis, as they should.

If it will REALLY cause them to leave, I’ll seriously consider DeSantis as the nominee.

“...because of Democrats’ and their partners’ seven years of demonizing him.”

~~~
I have a low information friend who hates politics and does not vote. A group of us were discussing politics around a fire recently, and the low information friend (who does get exposed to the MSM narrative at some level) believes the myth that Trump was very abrasive and mean. I mentioned the names Bush and Reagan, and asked him if he remembers how the media treated them. Then I asked him to pay attention to what happens to DeSantis if he gets nominated. To watch how they turn him into a horrible horrible man. I asked him to remember our conversation. I hope he does.
I see this as a false front. This is “Please don’t throw me in the briar patch”. Democrats, you see, are noting that Republicans should abandon Trump and support DeSantis because, you see, DeSantis is much more awesome.
I have no problem with DeSantis, but I will vote Trump in 2024, even if I have to write it in.
It’s really amazing that the Democrats recognize & respect the governing competence of DeSantis when they themselves are screwing up left, right & center.
The Beltway fears Trump more than anything. He knows and has direct evidence of what they have been up to. Hence the FBI raid on his home. “State Secrets which could damage national security” are documents detailing their own conduct and who was behind it. The FBI is just being the Pretorian guard employed by the Beltway interests.
I am really starting to believe your statement. They, the enemy, is going to do anything possible to stop him. Expect another St. George Floyd summer x2 in 2024. That first summer was part of the plan to get rid of Trump.
45 has my vote but DeSantis is great and probably more media-proof than 45. Desantis does have less baggage such as covid measures and more discipline.
“Dems and rinos are pushing DeSantis.”
Doing what the Dems want (Trump or nobody) is playing into their hands, whether you realize it or not.
I assure you, I am not a Dem, or a RINO !!!!!
They would also demonize DeSantis, let’s not get lost in the trees entirely here.
That said, Trump uniquely motivates the Dem base as much as the GOP base. DeSantis fights back just as aggressively without letting it get under his skin as badly.
DeSantis can run in 28, we first must allow Trump to revenge our lost 4 years due to a corrupt Federal Government followed by a Chinese bio-weapons attack ...
Probably right. Here in Wisconsin same strategy I think. The Trump pick, Tim Michels, won the GOP nomination for governor, but they were more afraid of the other, Rebecca Kleefisch. Democrats believe they can beat Michels. So, they’re happy.
It’s because Trump will resign and become speaker 2 years into his next POTUS term setting up DeSantis for 6 years. He’ll then still be young enough to hover over the process for 20 years, many as speaker.
Trump’s baggage has mostly been created by his enemies.
Heck, DeSantis just suggested throwing the little elf Fauci across the river. That’s right up there with some of Trump’s better mean tweets!
