What I could never quite figure out, maybe some people have a death wish - but don’t they have children or relatives, younger people that they would rather not relegate to a life of misery, or worse? They think they will always be large and in-charge? That all those wonderful trappings of a modern society just sort of happen by default? Yeah, no it doesn’t work that way. The people who seem to cause the worst damage always want what never was and never will be.
If it takes living under Socialism and then Communism that is JUST FINE with me, as long as my local RINO is booted out of office - can’t stand the guy and he wouldn’t support invalidating the election.

My limited experience is true leftists shrug these sort of testimonials off. Maybe it gets through to some of them.
Many people think that socialism refers to social media.
When socialism fails to deliver it’s promises, the people wise up and reject it.
However by then socialism has the means to oppress people and it resorts to draconian dictatorial powers to remain in power.
It’s usually a one way trip.

Obviously the case. But keep in mind, they are NOT DUMB and they know that their policies WILL destroy the country if they can get full control over government.
Of course they’ll claim they can ‘do it better’, etc. But the horrific results that they know they’ll get doesn’t matter to them...as long as they’re ruling over the people that they DESPISE (meaning, us).
Even the idea of Scandanavian/West European socialism is flawed. It requires a super-state like the US to bankroll and safeguard your national defense. And eventually the elites bring in “refugees” to prey upon and slowly displacing the native population.
As Mark Steyn said (and I think he attributed it to someone earlier):
“You can vote your way into socialism, if you want. But the only way out of it is to shoot your way out.”
Exactly. Especially those Karen type liberals that proudly boast of raising a “little socialist”. There’s quite a few of those type in the Seattle/Tacoma area.
In Scandinavian countries, a homogeneous population cooperates and understands their responsibility to work. Here we have too many people with grievances. That’s why socialism won’t ever work here like there.
I think the only reason that “socialism” works in Norway is because the government brings in billions of dollars of oil revenues and their population is about 5.5 million. About twice the population of Chicago.
what’s sad is, that those Scandinavian countries only “seemed” to make it work because they didn’t have to pay to protect themselves! WE the US Taxpayer subsidized their socialism!
Take away the rest of the world, and the Norwegians are back to starving.
I don’t see how it is possible that the GOOD people of China can ever break away from their government.
It is very important that we do not let socialism/communism happen here.
Don’t expect to reach the wokemob. If they were capable of learning from experience, they wouldn’t be woke in the first place.
Many young folks seem to believe the BS the Demoncrats ... I mean Democrats are feeding them about how great is will be to have the government take care of all their needs from cradle to grave which will be sooner than any of them imagine when they are no longer use to the government.
