As President Obama used to say of his clownish vice president: "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f*** things up."
Which brings us to Joe Biden's student loan debt forgiveness rollout, announced this week.
Let's set aside the issue of the legality of the matter.
The actual execution of the matter is Joe in Action.
According to Axios:
The implementation of President Biden's widespread, income-targeted student loan forgiveness is shaping up to be a bureaucratic challenge for the Department of Education.
Why it matters: Millions of Americans are in limbo waiting for information on how to take action on student debt relief — the success of which relies largely on an agency juggling unprecedented changes, on top of other reforms.
- The agency doesn't have income data for most of the 43 million Americans eligible for forgiveness, meaning around 35 million people — including Pell Grant recipients — will have to attest that they makes less than $125,000 per year and apply for relief.
What we're watching: StudentAid.gov, the government’s financial aid website, experienced significant delays Wednesday and Thursday after it was inundated with people seeking information on loan forgiveness.
- The White House doesn't know exactly how many eligible borrowers will actually end up applying for loan forgiveness — or how much it will cost.
- The Education Department hasn't yet released the website where people can apply for loan forgiveness by attesting that they meet the income requirement — and it's still unclear when that will be released, a person familiar with the matter tells Axios.
More importantly: When will borrowers actually see the relief?

To recap some of the salient Joe-ups:
They don’t know the incomes of nearly all of their borrowers. Helloooo, corruption — just like all the COVID relief cash that got handed out to fraudsters.
They blew out their own website based on the high volume of traffic from those seeking the $10,000 debt freebie. Seems that Joe took the Obamacare rollout fiasco as a model, not a warning.
They never set up a special website for this matter at all before the debt forgiveness plan was announced, which might have saved the rest of their website, and still don’t have any plans to do it. Plan? What plan?
They have no idea how many people will apply for the $10,000 freebie.
They have no idea what it will cost.
...and the list of chaoses and incompetences goes on and on and on.
More immediate and bigger question, can this all be stopped? Is there anyone with standing to challenge this giveaway? Will Congress put a stop to it? The courts?
Good. So many have the gimmees.
Unintended consequence: “Fee for requested account service: $10,000.” That will reimburse for computer system blowout.
A Montage of Idiocy: Joe Biden Slurs, Mumbles, Loses His Train of Thought, Wanders from Podium, and Screams During MD Rally (VIDEO)

After three weeks of COVID, vacation, more COVID, more vacation and a couple appearances to sign over $1 trillion in new government spending ($700 billion for green new deal and $300 billion for excusing student loans) Joe Biden made a quick stop in Maryland on Thursday night.
Joe Biden held a rally for some reason. They bused in a bunch of idiots to stand behind him and cheer the collapse of the United States.
During the rally, Joe Biden slurred, mumbled, lost his train of thought numerous times, wandered away from the podium, and screamed at the audience.

so, how exactly does this work?
Can Trump simply say when he becomes president again, that *POOF* no one owes money on their mortgages anymore?
A court needs to stop this insanity!
Well, it just goes to show how stupid these kids are.
It was made very clear that folks were not going to be able to register for any of this until the first of the year.
I know most Americans are not fans of following directions. But criticizing Biden for this is not really fair.
Then again, all they needed to do is put a “splash page” in front of the site explaining all that...again.
Biden donors will move to the head of the line.
I worked and paid all of my college expenses on the spot. No loans. Do I get my money back like the gender studies majors will?
where’s the website. Id like to help out with a donation.
Wondering the same. This is blatantly unconstitutional. Congress should HOWLING about abrogation of their duties, but... crickets. God forsaken crickets.
Because we are in a “State of Emergency” the “Heroes act” gives the Sec of Education the power to make these calls.
This act was passed ages ago.
That is their “legal ground.”
Since most mortgages are not Federal, they cannot be dealt with in the same manner.
However, I wonder if a VA loan could be adjusted in a similar way?
Give anything away for no cost to you and they’ll line u back to back - eligible and also plenty who will scam it.
Two cynical Geminis, Albert Grossman* and I, agree on one book and movie we liked a lot. The Magic Christian by Terry Southern (movie with Peter Sellers and Ringo Starr).
The theme was everyone has a price.
The big scene was a vat of total filth and sewage in which millions of dollars were tossed. Anyone could jump in and grab all they could carry. Eventually, all the bystanders did so. Finally they were in a frenzy of greed.

Ping
Like pigs to the trough.
Some court, at the behest of a sane Republican, had better quickly get involved with a stay, because once implemented, the damage will be irreparable. You cannot practically undo a loan forgiveness, at least not effectively.
So, it looks like one of those Walmart Black Friday sales they have on Thanksgiving night, right?
“Unanticipated”? Anyone who thought people wouldn’t sign up for “free” money is stuck completely on stupid.
They want $10,000 debt cancelled before Biden changes his mind or the courts strike it down.
