Russia’s Dwindling Manpower in Ukraine Spurs Recruitment Drive
WSJ ^ | 26-AUG-2022 | Ann M. Simmons

Ads urge Russians to sign up for military service as authorities turn to prisoners and mercenaries to grow ranks.

The Kremlin has embarked on a nationwide drive to recruit new military personnel as Russian President Vladimir Putin seeks to regain the offensive in Ukraine and replenish some of the estimated thousands of soldiers lost in Russia’s war effort.

Six months after Russia invaded Ukraine, Moscow’s military has lost much of what momentum it had but has chosen not to take the politically risky decision to declare a national mobilization.

The Russians used prisoner battalions during the Great Patriotic War. No reason why they can’t empty their prisons by offering their prisoners freedom if they survive the war.

“Curious why Russia has not yet surrendered to Ukraine.”

They need to get on with it so the Ukrainians can have their triumphant parade of tractors in Red Square for May 9th.

There’s so much BS in the Western media that it’s not even worth my time to comment.

This just another lie to keep the money flowing to Ukraine and being laundered back to our corrupt political class and their allies.

Russia has only used 1/10th of its army during this war. The vast majority of fighting on the ground in Donbass has been done by the militias of the DPR and LPR.

Russia could wipe every single Ukrainian city out with a one of our "shock and awe" bombing campaigns as it completely owns the air space. Then, the Russians could walk right in and takeover. But, it's Russia alone that is trying to minimize civilian causalities and wants something left if Ukraine, especially in the areas they will control, after this is over.

The Biden regime lies like it breathes and Speedy and his minions are happy to repeat those lies.

At least the Russians have manpower to pull from unlike Ukraine who is steadily getting shredded on the battlefield......

Russian casualties to date that is requiring that “recruitment drive”.....

No reason why they can’t empty their prisons by offering their prisoners freedom if they survive the war.

They already are, and those "Dirty Dozen" troops are dying as fast as they arrive in Ukraine...

Russia dangles freedom to prisoners if they fight in Ukraine. Many are taking the deadly gamble.

Of course they don’t tell you what Ukraine has to do to recruit more fighters.....nor how many they’ve lost.

Clearly Ukraine is not winning anything thus far.

Scott Ritter interview

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMK6WhNx91A

“The battlefield is not “stagnant right now.” The Russians are in the business of killing Ukrainians. There was a document that was leaked from the Ukrainians in April that showed 191,000 Ukrainian casualties. The bloodiest period of time has transpired since then....May, June, July, August right now where the two ratios right now are ten, twenty, thirty to one in favor of Russia. Ukrainians have suffered horiffic losses, horiffic losses. And if CNN would go to the front line....they can’t. Why? They’ll die because that is what is happening to Ukrainian soldiers right now....they’re dying.

Surrender is imminent. They ran out of ammunition in March ... for their 19th century rifles. Their vehicles break down, and the wheels fall off. Their entire force has been killed multiple times. It’s hopeless.
