Weak messaging from a RINO who listened to his RINO consultants. Get along-go along "Republicans" lose most of the time.

Messsaging determines turnout, but a lot mor epeople vote in November than special elections or primaries -- but the Republicans had best be aware of the danger to them.

LMAO NY slimes finds a non trump endorsed republican in NY and finds it a bellwether for all republicans.

“Concern trolls will always be concerned.” OR “Ya, let’s take advice from the state propaganda organ, that will work out well.”

I laugh at these NY Republicans who, for some reason, treat Marc Molinaro as if he’s a good candidate for anything.

He sucked as a gubernatorial candidate, and sucked as a Congressional candidate.

I’ve seen few GOP candidates who are as technocratic & dull as Molinaro.

Trump base — rural and working-class, non-college-educated white voters AKA Flyover country rubes. The disgust just drips from the msm as they think they are better then us.

The warning signs have been there forever- keep offering up piss poor RINO’s like Molinaro, who admitted he did not vote for Trump in 2016, and no conservative will be interested in coming out to vote.

But they won’t pay attention.

I sincerely believe, given the primary successes of Maga candidates, that there is a contingent in the GOP willing to throw the election to prevent Maga from gaining a foothold in Congress (Mitch McConnell, anyone?).
I was sceptical at the claims that Ryan and company purposely took a fall like a boxer on the take in 2018, but now I wonder.

Republicans stayed home. Great. Did that in Georgia as well January 2021. If republicans don’t show up and the house stays democrat and the senate gains two seats, say goodbye to the filibuster and hello to a lot of awful bills. Want to stay home republicans? Don’t!

New York is not the USA it’s a declining Northeastern state further down the chute than Pennsylvania where I live.

COVID drove good people out of NYS I’m sure to find a better life somewhere else.

The economy drives and abortion animates less as I see it.

Here in York County, PA the abortion protests held after the Supreme Court decision less well attended by far than Tea Party rallies way back 10-15 years ago.

Planned Parenthood is lying about Republicans wanting to ban abortions nationwide.

The Supreme Court created a framework in its decision for each state to make it’s own decision about abortion.

The court’s decision gave us a chance to “Get Along With Each Other” and “Live And Let Live” on abortion.

That’s what it really meant not what Planned Parenthood says.

All PP wants is for Democrats to win and they will lie as much as they have to so they can achieve that goal.

NY 19 is not a bellwether. It just isn’t, unless your name is Mitch McConnell. Here is their IDEAL type of candidate.

Anti-Trump (really anti-MAGA)- Check

Moderate. - Check

Establishment. -Check

Bi-Partisan - Check

And he loses.

Worse though is that they will blame this on Trump. Why is it that the moderate types always lose (he asked rhetorically). Is it because they spend their time apologizing for their supporters stance on the ISSUES?

” Gee I am sorry about not wanting our jobs exported. Gee, I am sorry about those deplorables not wanting to support open borders. I am so sorry about “those” people. Since I apologized, I don’t need them cause you dems will vote for me now, am I right?”

And then, when said deplorables don’t show up to vote? Oh no, the dems vote dem. Well look here, a loss.

But hey, the GOP is in trouble because of Trump of something.

The GOP “leadership” is purposely throwing this election to the Democrats. We will probably still win the House but it will be a closer run thing than it needs to be. We will not win the Senate.

This is to allow the “leadership” to say ‘we tried MAGA, it didn’t work.” “...the voters rejected it.” They will then try to reinstall the old RINO Bush/Cheney/McCain/Romney leadership.

How conservative voters will respond to this blatant betrayal of members is yet to be seen. If 2020 is any indication, we will do nothing and say less...

I bet Kari Lake won't lose. The issue is that Republicans have made it their own platform that they will do nothing - nothing - to thwart the Democrats dismantling of America. So why should I, or anyone else show up and vote for them?

Have you seen the primary support for Trump backed candidates? Look, the populace is near desperate for anyone who will stand up and fight, but McConnell and McCarthy have an ironclad policy of not doing anything, outside of issuing a stern press release perhaps.

Millions, tens of millions have been invading our country illegally, why haven't McCarthy and McConnell developed a strategy to stop this blatant violation of our national law? Is there any other country on the entire planet that is allowing this? Where are the Republicans?

Student loan forgiveness. Almost certainly unconstitutional on its face, and not a peep from anybody except perhaps Peter Doucey.

It is as clear as the nose on your face that McConnell, McCarthy and the rest of their eunuchs don't anything to do with Conservatives or anyone who they feel is tainted by Trump. They are quite happy to keep their snouts in the financial trough to enrich themselves and let Democrats dismantle this country, brick by brick.

Keep your RINO trash.

FTA:

“Molinaro has a good chance of flipping the seat in the November rematch, thanks to the roughly 170,000 voters who will join the red wave that will hit the country in the midterms, says pollster Rich Baris, director of Big Data Poll, ‘People’s Pundit.’”

Umm, maybe the GOP voters were enjoying one of the remaining evenings with kids before school and homework fights start.

Maybe they just didn’t see going out and voting was worth the effort this time around when they get another chance in a few months.

I trust Miranda Devine, but I think here that she is buying into a narrative advanced by the leftist media.

They have been waiting for ONE piece of good election news to extrapolate into a blue wave or something.

Here it is, in a place where a GOP candidate is fighting an uphill battle from the get go, even in a supposedly “Republican” district.

What bothers me a bit is this. Many here and in the conservative media preach, day in and day out, how the leftist media and institutions cannot be trusted. YET, the second that media advances a premise, it is instantly jumped on as a sign of the end of times!!!

Ever notice that the democrats have lost some pretty significant races? Yet, there is not extrapolation there, oh no.

The only issue the democrats have to hang their hats on is abortion. That is it. And here comes an election that they win, in a place where they should pretty much win (democrat seat, filled by a democrat) in a state where conservatives are bailing from. Low and behold, the media sells this as proof that:

Open borders don’t matter.
Rampant crime doesn’t matter.
Critical race theory and grooming in our schools doesn’t matter.
Rising costs of living in the form of gas and inflation doesn’t matter.
A recession doesn’t matter.

Oh no, the ONLY thing that matters is abortion as witnessed by this election in a state that clearly is representative of America. I mean, every body form Iowa secretly identifies as a New Yorker, same with Alabama and Texas and Arizona.

Or, how about this. We, the people who post here and regularly note that the media is agenda driven, treat them as such and EVERY story they advance as such. How about that?

Might this truly be a bellwether and a bad sign for the GOP? I suppose. But before I concede that, I will put on my critical thinking hat and wonder why Cheney’s huge loss wasn’t a bad sign for the dems (since it shows Jan. 6th isn’t selling well) or school boards flipping from dems isn’t a bad sign for them. Etc.

And then, I will wonder why that media that is pushing this story (doom for the GOP) isn’t factoring other results into their stories. Hmmmm?

The GOP will probably pull out a thin majority in the House. It will take a literal miracle for them to take the Senate.

Correct.

But also remember that the truly “”informed” New Yorker believes that the smartest people in the country live and work in NY City. That those who live in fly-over country are all hicks with no real understanding of how the world works.

So their opinions and advice should be taken with that in mind.
