1st!!
YAY! You need a breather, even if it IS brief. I imagine you’ll hit the pillows earlier than you did last night.
Any word on progress regarding that setup with the bank so you won’t have to print and mail checks any more?
2nd!!
3rd!!
Bummer that the temps are going up for you again. Darn sun! Looks like it will be for us as well, but “only” low 90s, nothing extreme.
Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
I wasn’t sure, but we made it through hump day! Hurrah for us!
Hope your week is going as planned, with all the rest you need.
Good to hear they aren’t calling for anything extreme for y’all. You’ve had enough of that!
It’ll be right around 90 for us, or so they say. We’ll see. At least it won’t be upper 90s and we hope those are over for the year. Low 90s are normal for this time of year so we aren’t complaining.
I quit REALLY complaining when those temps dipped below 100. I know it’s all in my mind, but it was just hotter then. LOL! Our yard looks good. Has your hubby had to mow again? I think mine is ignoring it.
We have some little plants that only grow when it’s cool and even when it’s freezing. Yesterday they started sprouting leaves. It was good to see them not looking pathetic and of course it means things are cooler. They are called Oxalis. They have pink flowers and shamrock-looking leaves.
Your yard is probably very happy these days after the good soaking you had. Your hubby is just letting the grass enjoy life for a little while before whacking it down with the mower. LOL
Our yard and fields are lush these days and Hubby’s been mowing sections at a time. He’s out on the tractor mowing right now.
I didn’t know Oxalis would grow when it’s really cold. Are yours in pots or are they growing around the yard?
Finally...Mommy is home!!
Good evening, Janey...((HUGS))...got your next trip lined up? Somewhere besides San Fran?
Boss had another meeting with whomever regarding the check printing issue this week.
I hope they get that set up for y’all, and soon. That would help a lot!
I think he’s just tired of mowing. LOL! We have St. Augustine grass so we keep it fairly high at 3 inches so the moisture from watering or rain won’t evaporate so fast.
We have the oxalis in a flower bed out front next to the front door. We had 4 plants but one gave up the ghost after the deep freeze, and I’ve hoped that the others were ok. When they die back they really look dead forever. LOL!
Smart of your hubby to do a bit at a time, especially with a yard as big as yours is!
A very pleasant good Thursday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country. How’s everyone doing this morning?
It’s easy to get tired of mowing. At least your hubby doesn’t have 10 acres to deal with.
Hubby doesn’t know our grass down very low either. About the same height as yours. What makes it look shaggy so quickly are the seed stems Bermuda grass shoots up. And weeds that are mixed in with the grass. Not living in a subdivision, we aren’t concerned about having a perfect lawn. We do like it green rather than the ugly brown we had in June and July due to no rain though.
It’s too cold during winter for Olaxis to survive in the ground, I’d say. Mine are in pots and I put them out on the front porch while it’s warm enough. They winter in the garage, on a shelf by a window. It gets cool in there but not enough to bother them. I can’t have any plants in the house with all the cats we have.
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Was it another good day for your outing yesterday?
Did you and Gizmo work up a big appetite for your Sonic supper? :-)
You sure had a pretty day yesterday. Gizmo’s happy face shows he approved. Or maybe he was anticipating that Sonic supper. LOL
