Just because you can get a loan and get admitted to college doesn’t guarantee you’ll actually graduate. I imagine quite a few of the younger generation hit college and find it is the first time they cannot coast and get a passing grade just by showing up.
I quit after a semester because gaming weighted averages was easy in high school.
Did great in classes with weighed average. Not the ones that didn’t.
Went to local trade school for a 2 year heavy mechanics degree.
Best decision of my life in a work regard.
Problem is these “councilors” at high schools look down on trades, and pretty much tell parents “if your kid does not go to college, you’re a failed parent.”
At least other countries who provide college educations, separate the wheat from the chaff. Not everyone gets into college.
