1. "We need to elect the person with the best chance of winning" when a conservative candidate was in the primary
2. "The time to address that is in the primaries" when rank and file voters complained about a Republican acting as an enabler of leftist policies
3. (Indirectly) "Shut up and keep sending us money. We know what's best" when rank and file voters complained about inaction in the case of inaction in addressing obvious wrongs, or where a Republican acted as enabler of leftist policies

I read about this in “El Narco”, a book about the cartels. They made their young men kill and butcher, as an ‘intro’. They were cold blooded after that.
