Leftists Crushed in School Boards Across Florida
Breitbart.com ^ | 8/24/2022 | BRECCAN F. THIES

Florida flipped multiple major school boards from liberal to conservative Tuesday evening, continuing a nationwide trend of parents taking back control of public schools.

Florida school board elections have been a major political battleground this cycle, with big names like Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and Rep. Byron Donalds (R) making endorsements and joining the campaign trail.

While primary elections occurred in Florida, New York, and Oklahoma Tuesday, Florida has general elections for school boards, meaning the winners will be the official members of the boards.

Many of the winning candidates have been endorsed by the 1776 Project PAC, an organization that has been instrumental in flipping school boards from liberal to conservative across the country.

“We saw massive election victories all throughout the state of Florida tonight,” 1776 Project PAC founder Ryan Girdusky told Breitbart News Tuesday. “It shows the desire of parents and residents across the country for some normalcy in our education system, and that means pushing against transgender ideology, critical race theory, critical gender ideology, and equity which destroys merit in education.”>>>

>>>With a surge of concerned parents due to the revelations about critical race theory, gender ideology, and equity proliferating in K-12 schools, school boards across the country are flipping to conservative control.

School board races used to be defined by their low voter turnout and uncontested races.

Since 2021, education has become a winning issue for conservatives and parents looking to keep their children safe from leftist indoctrination and unsolicited medical treatment.

Great news from Florida. DeSantis endorsed many of these candidates.

Also, many of the County Commissioners seats were won by conservative candidates.

Excellent news! This is where the real battleground is; in your local school district because THEY can set the tone for your children and can hire and fire teachers based on the teachers’ politics.

I cannot say how happy I am that DeSantis is making this a priority issue.

A buddy of mine is running for School Board in Michigan. He’s been on fire since he got kicked out of the TCF Center for the crime of being a Republican Vote Watcher

Don’t count on a lot of firings.

Districts can’t afford the legal action.

And I’m betting teachers will use this as an excuse to strike.

Taxpayers and parents have two options that they need to avail themselves of:

Formally withdraw your kids from publik skrewls.

And demabd an audit of your damn districts.

Which is the first thing those board members ought to be doing: having an outside audit done on districts’ books.

Both sets.

Good news for the students since the far left woke “teachers” don't actually teach anything but left wing, woke propaganda.
We'd all be far better off if they just went away. For good!

Yeah like it’s so easy to withdraw your kid from public schools. People like you just blowing hot air like it’s all so simple Repairs to withdraw their kids from public school and teach them at home.

Go back to watching Little House on the Prairie reruns.

Oh never mind everybody on that show sent her kids to public schools as well.

Fact is you probably never had kids in fact two is you probably never with your kids from public schools but here you are on the Internet telling all the other parents what to do.

Get lost

I’m pretty sure that most teachers work on a year-by-year contract. The school board has the final authority to say whose contract is not renewed. And if they are smart, they can insert language into the contract that a teacher can be let go in the middle of the school year for pushing woke crap on the students and not just teaching them English, math, and science.

A bit of a sensitive subject for you?

“Fact is you probably never had kids in fact two is you probably never with your kids from public schools but here you are on the Internet telling all the other parents what to do.”

First, mewzilla didn’t tell anyone what to do, they were just stating options. And it IS an option.

I have 4 children, and we homeschooled/private schooled them all. Am I allowed to have an opinion on this? Or do you have some disparaging words for me as well?

We sacrificed a lot to do so. We made deals with the schools to get the cost down. We did whatever we needed to to make it work.

Your reaction was far more reactionary and hostile than necessary. You seem to have an emotional connection to this subject.

1.5 million kids didn’t return to public school in 2020 and 2021. Those parents found a way. Some homeschooled, some private schools, some are online schooling, and some started group homeschooling where each family does one day a week. No, it’s not easy to just change, but it can be done

Why can’t the DOJ and the FBI arrest these violent extremists from the extreme extreme? DeSantis endorsed candidates cannot be seated. They are a “danger to democracy”/sarc

And I’m betting teachers will use this as an excuse to strike.

DeSantis will fill the spots with military veterans.

And if anyone thinks that veterans can't teach, many of us are fully qualified instructors and have quite a lot of experience teaching courses and dealing with students.
