A lot of the fighting is west of the most Russian areas, and Crimea is quiet.
Ukrainians themselves point to the agreement which left them demilitarized as the reason why they are unprepared.
Ukrainians themselves mention the demilitarization as part of the agreement, and they do so when asked why they were so unprepared in 2014 - AND STILL UNPREPARED IN 2021.

I have zero problem _knowing_ what NATO is doing. They used Ukraine as the weapon to take out Russia. It backfired.Serious talk in policy circles about the utility of NATO. It looks like a murder-suicide with Ukraine as the collateral damage.
Did you catch the news reports on Putin meeting with the militaries of the BRICS+ coalition? Looks like Russian arm sales are doing just fine and they are not confiscating a thing from their troops to send elsewhere, nor are they begging for handouts.
Legacy state media in the West is but a fraction of the sources for _actual_ news in our world. Not just about this war, but about global economics, science, medical treatments and the sentiments of the majority of the people of the planet,especially about the WEF-controlled demolition of human civilization.
