"As a result of urgent detective measures, the federal security service has solved the murder of Russian journalist Darya Dugina, born in 1992," Tass reported quoting an FSB statement.
The assassin, Natalia Vovk was identified as a citizen of Ukraine, who was born in 1979, the report further added. On July 23, 2022, Vovk and her daughter Sofya Shaban, who was born in 2010, arrived in Russia, the agency reported.
The FSB claimed in its report that Vovk and Shaban went to the literary and musical festival Tradition on the day of the murder. Darya was there at the event as an honorary guest. Her father too was attending the event.
"On August 21, after a remote-controlled explosion of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado car Darya was driving, Vovk and her daughter left through the Pskov Region to Estonia," the FSB said.
This means Vovk fled Moscow at least a day after Darya was killed. Vovk and her daughter rented an apartment in the same Moscow complex where Darya stayed so that she could plan the murder and learn more about the victim's lifestyle.

Ridiculous, this fantasy of the Russian military being more powerful than the United States is absurd, but then to include all of NATO on all fronts, and even Ukraine in the match is just beyond silly.
While I agree that we could best the Russian military, one would do well to calculate the cost of such an adventure.
During Barbarossa Germany invaded with approximately 4 million men. In six months the Germans took 1 million casualties while inflicting nearly 5 million casualties on the Soviets.
As a German officer once said, we destroy twelve armies and twelve more take their place. They may not be trained and equipped to our level……but they are there.
Invading Russia proper is a fools errand, much as invading the US mainland is a fools errand. We should have tried to pull Russia into the west after the fall of the USSR, if we had, China would be nothing, absolutely nothing to worry about today. My .02.
A guy named Jane has to be tough.
NATO isn’t invading Russia, the threat made is always about Russia invading NATO, the Russians are wiped out on the battlefield, Navy gone, Air Force gone, Army gone.
The whole thing about Russia pivoting from their struggle in Ukraine to wiping out the world’s greatest military force, and its massive and advanced allied forces is silly.
Heck, we aren’t even 100% sure that Ukraine isn’t going to beat them.
Gennady Zyuganov is also on the Ukraine hit list, and us also another of Putin’s top ideological advisers. He also heads the faux opposition Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
Kids blow up so fast these days.
Probably important to remember that russia only brought just under 200k to the table in Ukraine. Militarily speaking it is fairly surprising they have what they have and are holding it. I think they have to be close to as far as they can go with the numbers they have.
Also the Ukrainian army is not a paperweight, they are well equipped, well dug in, and arguably the army with the most recent real world experience in Europe. Unfortunately they do not seem to be led very well.
Russia invading Europe? Yea not gonna happen without massive mobilization across the board. They take the whole of their economy and put it on a war footing, then yes it is time to be worried. But with the 200k at the table now, I do not believe their aims are the whole of Ukraine.

What was brought up was Russia invading Estonia.
Russia is not what we thought it was a year ago, the thinking that it is still the Soviet Empire of WWII sacrificing its conquered peoples by the millions in attack against German hardware of the first half of the 20th century isn’t what exists today.
Ukraine has exposed the Russian military and the entire government and intelligence services, and NATO and the U.S. would carve up and isolate its Army and air assets quickly, Russia would be unable to move men and materials.
We know that Russia cannot start taking NATO countries.
No we just go to Nuclear War
Why would Russia want to end itself in a senseless nuclear war?
You seem to think that the whole weight of what russia can bring to bear is on campaign in Ukraine. I assure you it is not. Again, I have always believed we could take them, but the price would be high. What we are seeing in Ukraine is not total war. If the US and the russians were going toe to toe it would be total war and the result would be a bloody mess imho.
“We have only to kick in the door and the whole rotten structure will come crashing down.”
We should not make the same mistakes some have made in the past, and we should never underestimate any enemy. Perhaps we will see who is right, but I hope and pray we do not.
We know what is on paper and after watching their best in action we have learned that they have less than we thought and of far lower quality, this Ukraine invasion has been a huge eyeopener, about a much overrated decaying old military.
I don’t even see how they could mobilize and move their troops and equipment to the borders of NATO and conduct an invasion. I think we would cut them to pieces in the open, dominate the air, make supply chains impossible, erase their navy or force it into nonuse, not to mention they would be fighting on ground where the population hates them/
I don’t know what smooth powerful invasion force they have that could conduct a massive invasion against what NATO and US has.
"1/5 SECOND LOOK: "Azov batallion ID" presented by FSB, as basic online forensic tools see it. Forensically reveals the quality time the photoshop artist spent with clone tool, due to some darn fine pattern. #dugina #UkraineWar #FSB #fake"
The FSB didn't try to hard to fake her ID.
Your posts explain exactly why Russia is going to lose.
What are the forensic qualifications of the Twitter Troll you referenced?
The qualifcations are they did the work, posted it, and explained it for all to see. Check out post #75 on this thread for the same time of work.
So you have absolutely no idea what his forensic qualifications are. Got it.
I am certainly not saying they could invade all of Europe by any stretch of the imagination. Not sure where you get that I was saying that. Again with the forces they brought to Ukraine their goals cannot even be all of Ukraine let alone all of Europe.
But if this mess ends up with us at war with Russia, and the numbskulls running this world seem to like the idea, with our current civilian as well as military leadership, I believe it would be disastrous. Heck with our current leadership any war with a near peer enemy would be a touch and go affair imho.
You may have faith in our current leadership, I unfortunately do not. As the old saying goes, our men are lions unfortunately they are currently led by donkeys.
The conversation you joined was about invading the NATO country of Estonia and the American troops there, that would mean Russia was engaged not only in Ukraine but by all of NATO.
I don’t need total faith in current leadership to believe that if the American military and NATO are ordered to destroy Russian attackers and their ability to wage war then there would be an almost instant emptying of the air, the radar sites, the artillery, any masses of tanks and men, and trucks, bridges, roads, I think there is no way that Russia could advance against our assets and on multiple fronts.
I think it is clear that Russia cannot conduct a WWII type invasion against modern 21st century America/NATO.
Having more of what Russia was able to send to Ukraine, and trying to use that against all of the united forces that are lending a little modern help to Ukraine, except with Russia having vastly more territory and fronts to deal with, not to mention their rear, would be a sad thing to watch, we would dominate every part of the war and quickly, we would not be losing masses of infantry and armor in open battles and bloody slugfests. Russian artillery would not be pounding NATO cities and huddled NATO troops.
American politicians can give up the wars after we win the battles, but we still have a fast, overwhelming, all-consuming, technologically awesome killing machine that knows how to go after what the Russian military consists of.
