He was just as shocked as you or I.
He probably found out about it from listening the news.
Maybe it’s just that he doesn’t like getting profusely lied to and now having to endure the wrath of the American people over this partisan debacle.
All three as he knows he screwed up royally and the back lash is frightening.
Maybe he thinks he was misled by the FBI. At this point, this is his best play.
