The former chaplain of Austin’s fire department says the liberal city dismissed him from his position over a blog that said it is unfair for men to compete against women in sports events — basing its views in the Bible. Now, he’s suing the department.
Andrew Fox served as chaplain of the Austin Fire Department from 2013 until last December. Fox had posted a three-part blog, titled “Willy Woke and the Chocolate Factory,” on his personal website, which reportedly has just under 1,000 subscribers. He dedicated the second article to “gender identity and how ridiculous it is becoming,” highlighting “the lunacy of men competing with women as women. The transgender ideology is blatantly hijacking the platform of athletic sport.” He explicitly grounded his views in biblical faith by citing numerous verses from the Book of Proverbs concerning fairness.
That led to an unknown number of anonymous complaints from members of the department that his scriptural views did not fit in with Austin’s liberal ethos.

These are mad times we are living in.
quote “unfair for men to compete against women in sports events”
If liberals disagree with that statement, then END WOMENS SPORTS!
NO! Liberals say! we can do that, women are at a biological disadvantage to men. EXACTLY! which is what a MAN pretending to be a woman shouldn’t be allowed to compete as a woman!
Haven’t liberals noticed that no one is complaining if a woman pretending to be a man competes with men right? BECAUSE THEY WOULD BE AT A DISADVANTAGE!
Our views are based on fairness not anti-trans whatever BS
The Eleventh Commandment:
Thou shalt go along with anything we make up or we will destroy you.
Sounds like they did him a favor.....we could use another God fearing man in our fire rescue community here in Fla.
He’s welcome here anytime as far as I’m concerned.
1. Unconstitutional
2. Leave. Austin. Now.
My mother played golf with a woman who decided she wanted to compete in the PGA, they said Sure, we are glad to have you, and hope you do well.
Inmthe beginning, God created man and woman. Later, man Invented a class of people where men claim to be women, and woe unto anyone that objects.

Then I saw Austin and said; "It's Monday".
Are you pretending you don’t know the difference?
The Biblical view of "gender" (as distinct from permitted sexual behavior) is identical to that of Classical Paganism and every civilization since then (and not just Christian Europe). Though variations existed and may have been accepted in places, two genders and family life were always the norm.
Psychology is being promoted over Biology. XX does not become XY and viseversa. We are being pressured to ‘believe’ or at least agree with a lie. This will not end well - for we will either love the lie or we will love the truth. Confusion/division/anger/threats/loss of jobs/... will follow.
We must choose to stand on shifting sands or on the rock. Please choose the Rock.
To my surprise, fire department personnel were complaining:
“That led to an unknown number of anonymous complaints from members of the department that his scriptural views did not fit in with Austin’s liberal ethos. For instance, the department celebrated Pride Month every June and released a publicly funded PSA featuring a drag queen in 2019.”
But the chaplain got into the political arena. I figure the chaplain is there to help the firefighters with their personal problems.
XX does not become XY and viseversa.

Just give Pfizer and Moderna a week to gin up an mRNA to fix that!
I hear ya.
I never understood the purpose of having chaplains in government institutions in the U.S. in the first place.
“One nation under God...”
In institutions where the members are often or even potentially immersed in their jobs for extended periods, like in the military, I can see the need.
For an 8-to-5 job? Naw.
What what his response?
