Given the group of experts from a variety of fields discussing the topic of machines today regarding the vulnerabilities of the machines, one has to wonder WHY NO POLITICIAN (save MTG and a few others) WANTS TO FIX THEM?

Remember Brennan was CIA Director under Obama. He is an important name behind the federal government transition to progressive control.
Understand that the federal workforce has been decades in development to pass workforce protections which sound benign but served to make to near impossible to reform it. Once a federal government is hired, after a year, it is near impossible to fire them or any other more senior employee.
A recent GOP proposed bill seeks to convert all federal employees to ‘At-Will’ employees so they can be fired at anytime without process as long as EEOC, Whistleblower and other civil rights issues are avoided.
It is true that if 50% of the federal workforce was fired tomorrow, Americans would barely notice.
There was a time when nearly all federal employees were very competent, very fit for service. There are still solid employees inside fed govt but as the insider explains in the link above, our fed workforce is in a process of replacement for political purposes.
I worked many years ago for an exceptional GM-15 (not GS) who worked with Werner Von Braun. The caliber of fed employees since has declined steadily.

I have caught a few minutes of this here and there. I simply don’t have the time to sit for two days and listen to it all. There is some good material, but tons of fluff in between. If someone could create a condensed version when it is all over then it might be pretty good.
Spent quite a bit of time dealing with freezes, mutes, and drops. I would very much like to have listened to the whole presentation, but it wasn’t possible.
Mike gets huge credit for what he is funding and doing. It is very tiresome to try to listen to his experts when he (Mike) continually injects himself and trails off into some unrelated tangent.
His information is stellar. His presentation dampens the effect.

Sadly, experience has shown that my cynicism is warranted.
