Out-of-Touch McConnell Claims Ukraine Is Top Priority for ALL GOP Sens.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., claimed this week that helping Ukraine fight off Russia is a “top priority” for both Democrats and Republicans.

“I think we all agree the most important thing going on in the world right now is the war in Ukraine,” McConnell said after being asked about the House’s $40 billion aid package for Ukraine.

McConell said he expects “substantial support” from his party for the package.

“We’re going to try to process it as soon as possible,” he added.

Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., the No. 2 GOP leader in the Senate, agreed and predicted “a big vote over here” for the bill.

These Senate Republicans, with the exception of a 4 or 5, hate MAGA and us. It’s time voters come to grips with our current political system

The biggest threat to this country is the invasion across our open borders and immigrants from nations hostile to our culture, not whatever happens with Ukraine.

Why should we taxpayers have to pay for Ukraine's mistakes? They elected a clown. So what did they expect? And they could have avoided the war but chose not to.

Well I didn’t see the Show of hands thread.
And I don’t think you speak for most Freepers.

It’s not the globalists war. It’s Putin’s war. And we would be stupid to let him win it.

Putin winning would make him stronger. It would give him Ukraine’s industrial heart, even if he stops now. It would give him Ukraine’s oil and gas. It gives him more grain.

And all of that means Russia will have even more leverage over Europe than he already has.

And he already announced that Ukraine wasn’t the only state that didn’t have a right to exist apart from Russia. So it’s clear if you let him win this one, he will do it again and again and again.

He did it in Georgia, he did it in Chechnya, He did it in Crimea. There is a clear pattern here that needs to be stopped sooner than later.

We’re not listening to Joe. Joe is slow walking aid after taking bribes from Moscow.

We’re looking at what is going on and we recognize an agressive dictator and we see a free people being decimated and it’s time to stop it.

The people of Kentucky are sending McConnell to the Senate to deliver the pork, which he does. They want their pork, bread and butter consideration of MAGA don’t enter their thoughts here. To them somehow the MAGA should just occur.

I understand opposing Russia. Russia is not our friend, never has been and never will be. What I don’t get is why anyone would support the Ukraine. It’s just as bad.

I’m sure we can agree that from a pro-American standpoint, Russia versus Ukraine is a European problem and best left to the Europeans sort out. There’s no sense the US taking sides in this conflict between two corrupt nations, both filled with brutal and bloodthirsty people.

Yeah, it’s been a elitist club for a long time. Once they get there, they become beholden to a different constituency (not the voters). Plus knowing they have 6 years of uncontested freedom running around that swamp, it’s only the true virtuous that remain loyal to their voters. Plus the Senate process is so dependent on the Majority or Minority Leader’s agreement to allow to bring up anything for a vote, that it’s a mini dictatorship and repository of unilateral power to the leader of each party. That’s why McConnell could care less if the Senate is controlled by GOP or not. It’s an utter disgrace!

I really couldn’t care less if the RINOs take the Senate or not, it’s all about the House.

There are many posters here who agree with the Turtle. Some are obvious K Street trolls others seem to be mindless jingos who love to wrwp themselves in the flag and become orgasmic at the thought of yet another ‘good war’. Some have entire pages devoted to mindless flag waving hysteria. Some are former commissioned officers who think their experiences in Iraq gives them insight into a real big war with a near peer opponent (not in a million years) and can’t control their desires for the US to be in a big fight with Russia. None bother with the liquidation of our borders, the turd world replacement invasion and the destruction of the productive base of much of America and its connection with the dope crisis. I regularly attack these people and they routinely hide behind the necessity of the US to stop ‘agression’ overseas or just dodge the domestic issues altogether. These people are not patriots, they do not love this country, they love the cheap thrill of flag waving and wanting some clueless 19 year old to become ‘a martyr for liberty’ in foreign quarrels without a scintilla of US interests involved. These fools depress me far more than the left as they pretend to be real Americans as their country is being destroyed around them.
