Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., claimed this week that helping Ukraine fight off Russia is a “top priority” for both Democrats and Republicans.
“I think we all agree the most important thing going on in the world right now is the war in Ukraine,” McConnell said after being asked about the House’s $40 billion aid package for Ukraine.
McConell said he expects “substantial support” from his party for the package.
“We’re going to try to process it as soon as possible,” he added.
Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., the No. 2 GOP leader in the Senate, agreed and predicted “a big vote over here” for the bill.

Ukraine is next to the top priority of the Uniparty, right after keeping the border of the USA open and the laws unenforced.
Most of the GOP Senators are Bush League Republicans.
McConnell, Thune, Barrasso, Blunt, Ernst, Scott, Scott, Lee, Crapo, Grassley, Shelby, Murkowski, Sullivan, Boozman, Rubio, Risch, Young, Braun, Moran, Cassidy, Collins, Hyde-Smith, Daines, Fischer, Sasse, Burr, Tillis, Hoeven, Cramer, Portman, Inhofe, Lankford, Toomey, Grahamnesty, Rounds, Cornyn, Romney, Capito, Lummis are all Bush League Republicans.

The ONLY way Mitch is deposed as leader is if WE quit re-electing his bitches.
WE have to elect some MAGA Republicans to replace the Bush League Republicans currently in office.

Maybe I’ve read too much history, but I deem Ukraine to be in the top 3 issues for us. Perhaps second to the LeftoFascists plans to turn the USA into a dictatorship, and the looming collapse of global economies. Russian success will give the ChiComs an incentive to annex Taiwan, which would be catastrophic if only because 90% of the world’s high-end chips are made there. Chip we use in everything including a lot of our defense ans space industries.
The world did not stop because Trump was removed from office.

I think after the insane covid arguments a lot of freepers just don’t want to waste their time arguing. Especially when Congress is supporting Ukraine and that is what they want.
I’m fine with peace talks as soon as Russia agrees to leave the Ukraine territory and give back the resources it has stolen.
]But Europe and NATO would be idiots to let Russia keep those resources.

As much as I detest McConnell as the leader of the GOP in the Senate, this piece is nothing more than the author's conclusion from interpreting emanations from penumbras from McConnell's comments.
I'm sympathetic to the cause of replacing McConnell, but this isn't the way to go about it.
