Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., claimed this week that helping Ukraine fight off Russia is a “top priority” for both Democrats and Republicans.
“I think we all agree the most important thing going on in the world right now is the war in Ukraine,” McConnell said after being asked about the House’s $40 billion aid package for Ukraine.
McConell said he expects “substantial support” from his party for the package.
“We’re going to try to process it as soon as possible,” he added.
Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., the No. 2 GOP leader in the Senate, agreed and predicted “a big vote over here” for the bill.

Peace talks are the right way forward.
What was the last time the GOP had attractive, intelligent and qualified people who won elections and led with vigor, remembering to be loyal to the conservative voters who voted for them. On “we will lower taxes” “we will get rid of Obamacare” “we will clean up the corrupt Swamp” and more?
When a Dem came in they looked forward to crushing the oil industry and fossil fuel pipeline workers, helping the Chinese and promoting abortions. All checked off.
When a reporter to the freshly elected Donald Trump asked “Do you think Speaker Paul Ryan is going to support your programs to get them through? He has made some remarks about doubting some of them and being independent.”
Trump: “I’m not worried. He will find out it’s good to be on my side now.”

Senate Republicans aren’t selling a damn thing to their base ANY LONGER, we want NOTHING anymore except to be rid of them!! There are 3 in the entire senate worth saving, Hawley, Kennedy, Rand Paul that is it out of 50, SPIT!!! Cruz is a huge MAYBE!!!

The Russians buy arms by the factory. They don’t just buy 30 or 100 of something.
