Former President Donald Trump injected himself into the House Democratic primary races in New York — making eyebrow-raising endorsements of his one-time impeachment tormentor Dan Goldman and Carolyn Maloney in their respective races.
“Lawyer Dan Goldman is running for Congress, NY-10, and it is my great honor to Strongly Endorse him. I do this not because of the fact that he headed up the Impeachment Committee and lost, but because he was honorable, fair, and highly intelligent,” Trump said in a statement released Wednesday on his Truth Social platform.
“While it was my honor to beat him, and beat him badly, Dan Goldman has a wonderful future ahead,” Trump said in an apparent sarcastic manner.

Trump’s trolling didn’t stop there. He also gave a back-handed endorsement to Rep. Carolyn Maloney who is running for re-election in the redrawn 12th Congressional District, pitting her against fellow Rep. Jerrold Nadler and challenger Suraj Patel.
“A vote for Carolyn Maloney in NY-12 is a vote for the future! She is a kind and wonderful person, who has always said terrific things about me, and will support me no matter what I do, just as I supported her very early on,” Trump said.

The funniest thing about it is that a goodly share of their voters are too stupid to understand sarcasm and will vote against them once they hear about the Trump endorsement. The Donald understands this well!

One think I always liked about Trump is that he had a wry sense of humor. I think he feels he is on a roll. They better find something to stop him or he is on the way to becoming the next president. What him take a shredder to the “Green New Deal”
How long do you suppose it will take before the DOJ opens a criminal investigation for “conspiracy to engage in a fraudulent political endorsement” against President Trump?
I’m here in the craphole of NY and saw one of Goldman’s ads on TV. He proudly boasted he led the impeachment trial against President Trump- i wanted to puke. Now i can’t help but stop laughing!!!

He never stopped. Donald Trump is a master of timing and trolling. Always has been.
Anyone that has read his books (which even 99.9% of his supporters have never done) understands this. He sometimes strikes without hesitation. And, he sometimes waits patiently for the right moment.
There are numerous quotes from his business adversaries in his books testifying to the incredible frustration they experienced trying to engage with Donald Trump.
They comment repeatedly that his unusual timing and unpredictability continually flummoxed them.
