None of the 19 sororities at the University of Alabama were interested in having a male student named Grant Sikes join them this year.
The student, who uses “she/her” pronouns, called the decisions “extremely upsetting” and “sad” in a TikTok video, where Sikes had been documenting the sorority application journey.
Sikes wrote a note on Instagram:
First and foremost, I would like to thank my family, friends and everyone who has come along during this journey with me. From the thousands of messages to meeting the funniest people, I had the best time.
Unfortunately this chapter is closed. This recruitment journey is over for me. Being dropped from my last house this morning during primary recruitment at the University of Alabama doesn’t come as a surprise considering out of the almost 20 chapters I was dropped by every single one except 2 before day 1: Gamma Phi Beta and Kappa Alpha Theta.
I’m hopeful for a future where everyone is welcomed for just being themselves —everywhere.

As he rightly should be. This isn’t news.
Aman tries to join sororities and is told no..
This isn’t news, this is exactly what any and every sorority has done since the beginning of sororities…
Well said!
Although I do applaud the ladies for rejecting him, this goes against the increased Title IX law just signed by Brandon. The university may get sued by the tranny AND lose all federal funds. This was probably timed intentionally.
Sounds like a guy. Has a prominent adam’s apple. Looks like a guy. I can’t imagine why a sorority wouldn’t want him representing them.
Back in my day, it was around 60%. The 80% was what the previous alumni and Initiation Masters want for the last 5 five years. Quality over quantity. A senator’s son (whose name I wont mention) washed out in 3 days and “cried to daddy” trying to break up the frat but he forgot our alum are influential people too :)
Gee maybe the normals are starting to develop some brains.
yeah... so??? FDRQ
Autogynephilia: "A male's propensity to be sexually aroused by the thought of himself as a female."
These transwomen are nothing more than plain old sexual deviants. This guy doesn't think he's a woman. He just gets off wearing dresses. What we used to call a "transvestite". And that they're forcing themselves to be welcomed into women's spaces is, for them, like striking gold.
Let this guy live in a sorority house and he's going to spend every waking moment walking around in a dress with an erection.
Babylon Bee gave Grant the idea. Right?
Being rejected by fraternities/sororities you wanted to join, companies you wanted to work for, and people you wanted to date is part of adult life. You wanted to be treated like a woman, you got it. You were treated exactly like the actual women who rushed and didn’t get in. If you want a place “where everyone is welcomed for just being themselves” don’t rush a fraternity/sorority in the first place; they aren’t what you’re looking for.
Being treated like a woman and being treated like a pretty, high-status woman are 2 very different things. Being trans is not a pole vault that automatically puts you at the top of anything (except women’s athletics).
Hmm, even a biological woman with that flat a chest would be rejected by many a sorority.
Well said. Many trans “women” are mocking real women while claiming oppression points for doing so.
ROLL TIDE.
You can’t make this stuff up. How utterly absurd. Words have gender; mammals have sex. A person is either male or female, and that cannot be changed by hormones or surgery or anything else. It’s one thing for people to be delusional, but it’s another to expect everyone else to believe in his or her delusions.
Not everybody's going to get that one, but oh yeah. Ooooh, yeah.
University of Alabama med school must teach actual biology.
I can’t believe there is a word for that particular psychosis.
