Most places in America have only one local police force. (Some have multiple such as village, town, county....). The places with only one local force obviously are in a different position than those with a few or several. Some places in New York State defunded their little village over some combination of expense, annoyance or corruption and things worked out fine. Defunding the NYPD would be a different matter. As for the FBI, there are scores of other large federal police forces, from the USMS to BATF to DEA to HSI / ICE to CBP to Secret Servicr to the US Park Police, I mean the list only goes on from there. Essential FBI duties could easily be shifted to other agencies. Pence is an idiot.
The difference: The police who were to be defunded were doing nothing wrong, whereas the FBI is in cahoots with dictators in training. The FBI at least needs to be reigned-in legally, and defunding may be the only way to force this.

In reality, 30Pence was the same guy back then as he is now. His corruption had just not yet been revealed.
Trump is exposing all of the deep state, big government, globalist swamp monsters for what they are. I fear there are still many who appear to be good guys but are really just better at hiding their evil intentions.

I agree with Tucker last night in that there is a need for a federal law enforcement agency to enforce federal laws. But the FBI may not be it - why not rely on the US Marshals Service, and other agencies have their own cop shops, including USPS postal inspectors, etc.
Pence is irrelevant, I can understand the need and also that the FBI has become untrustworthy and corrupt. But the problem is, under the civil service laws that Congress has put in place, it will be VERY difficult to do a lot of the things that people are suggesting/demanding.
Trump could create a new agency (Space Force) - what I’d like to know from people who actually know the federal employment law - is how to un-create one. Otherwise it’s just conversation...
And as Elvis put it, we need a little less conversation and a little more action.

The FBI has devolved into the Media-Dem Party’s enforcement arm. Their main focus for the last 7 years has been combating Donald Trump and anyone who worked for him, “investigating” never-ending “hate crimes” that turn out to be hoaxes, setting up people for arrest such as the Whitmer “kidnapping” case, January 6th, and several of the Muslim “terror” plots that they claim to have stopped when in fact it was themselves responsible for the “plots”.
Never really liked this guy. He always came off as weak and wishy-washy.
Exactly who is calling for defunding the FBI? I’m not hearing that. It has to be an extreme minority. I call for the shuttering of the FBI almost daily. I have saying that for months, long before the Trump raid. But, the shuttering to me means a realignment of responsibilities - valid and constitutional responsibilities. Law enforcement, like all government is best performed close to the people. Much of what the FBI does should be moved to the state and local law enforcement. I am still pro law enforcement.
They don’t make ‘em like that any more. She had class in spades.
