I agree with Tucker last night in that there is a need for a federal law enforcement agency to enforce federal laws. But the FBI may not be it - why not rely on the US Marshals Service, and other agencies have their own cop shops, including USPS postal inspectors, etc.
Pence is irrelevant, I can understand the need and also that the FBI has become untrustworthy and corrupt. But the problem is, under the civil service laws that Congress has put in place, it will be VERY difficult to do a lot of the things that people are suggesting/demanding.
Trump could create a new agency (Space Force) - what I’d like to know from people who actually know the federal employment law - is how to un-create one. Otherwise it’s just conversation...

You can eliminate 95% of the Federal criminal code and nobody would be any worse for it. In fact, we’d save a lot of time, money and effort on criminal cases that don’t make anyone better off.
What big case has the FBI solved in the last 15 years??
