“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside”.

That one sentence would seem to invalidate every 'residency requirement' in every state that has them......................

It actually confounds the Constitution.
One is always a citizen of the US.
A citizen can be a resident of one or more States.

the 14th confounds US citizenship with State citizenship.
The 14th should be found to be UnConstitutional and struck as an Amendment, regardless of the result of the process.
