On Saturday’s “CNN Newsroom,” Rep. Dina Titus (D-NV) responded to an estimate by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) that the Inflation Reduction Act won’t have much of an impact on inflation this year or next year by saying that many economists say “inflation is already coming down. Gas prices are coming down. So, I believe that you will be able to feel it.”
Host Fredricka Whitfield asked, “But do you worry that many Americans won’t actually feel the impact of the bill — some of the impact, for a long time? I mean, it’s called the Inflation Reduction Act. But the Congressional Budget Office says the bill is not going to do much to lower inflation this year or even next.”

The “Inflation Act” created by dunces who flunked Econ 101 and 102, will help inflation A LOT!
Show me a Dem with a brain, its a rarity
Wait until the north starts getting cold and solar panels are supposed to provide everyone energy.
Inflation isn’t coming down and gas prices are reflecting lack of manufacturing demand, not increased supply.
Low manufacturing demand for energy means factories aren’t making stuff because people can’t afford to buy stuff because they have to eat and pay rent first.
This is going to get ugly.
So, this “inflation act” was unnecessary to begin with? That’s what it sounds like. A lot of unnecessary debt.
If inflation is already coming down then you don’t need this stupid bill
It’s no coincidence the media is in lock step saying that Republicans are making false claims that the 87,000 new IRS agents will be going after the middle class, and that these new agents will only be enforcing existing tax laws. You don’t need 87,000 new agents to go after the super wealthy, but you need that many and probably more to go where the money truly is and that’s with the huge middle class in America. The Swamp needs money after all that reckless stimulus spending and the inflation that came with it.
Joe said we have zero inflation.
So why do we need an inflation bill?
“So why do we need an inflation bill?”
Because those taxmen aren’t going to buy their OWN ammo...
Think cash businesses, barter, evaluating standards of living and imputed income…
Inflation is already 0. What happens if it goes into negative numbers?
So sayeth the people who told us that inflation wasn’t going to be here in the first place.
The biggest anti-inflation component of the bill is also the hardest to measure: the ability of the Medicare system to negotiate drug prices more effectively. Over time that ought to save the Medicare system a lot of money, as well as reduce drug costs on out-of-pocket expenditures thereby reducing consumer inflation. But how much and when is a lot of judgment and the proof will be in the doing.
There are also sizable tax hikes that will take money out of the economy, and there is money to invest in energy production that will make fossil fuel prices less significant to electricity production.
They misspelled “inflaMMation”. 😊🙌
Those at the controls are dunces who have no clue about basic economics.
All they can do is screw things up which is really what they want to do anyway, but in such a way that they try to fool the voters that they didn’t screw things up.
So these Lying “acts” with their lying titles do just the opposite of their advisements.
They hope the gullible and unwary will bite on their lies and deception.
Inflation is coming down.
Inflation has always been coming down.
Eastasia has always been at war with Oceania.
Says someone who doesn’t do their own grocery shopping
Dirty Little Secret. SocSec COLA based on Q3 inflation - of course it is “coming down.” Doesn’t mean that grocery prices haven’t already DOUBLED. FUJB
