Great memory with that song:
Cool Jerk -- The Capitols
Back in high school, we had a pretty good football team, losing only two games, both to the same team with the second loss being in the CIF Southern Regional semi-finals. We had one player who was pretty big and very fast. Went on to play college ball.
One game he laid out a QB with a solid, cheap shot. Drew the flag and an ejection. One of the opposing players called him a F'n jerk. His response was:
"Yeah well at least I'm a cool jerk."
It was popular in those days, if you had a cool car, to put in script writing in the rear side windows the name of a song, that you identified with. Sure enough, the next week he had it emblazoned on his car:
