With news of the FBI raiding Mar-a-Lago, buzz quickly bubbled up Monday evening about whether former President Donald Trump could be disqualified from holding office again.
The FBI search of the Florida resort was related to Trump's handling of presidential records, including classified documents, after leaving office, sources told CNN. The search warrant was connected to the National Archives, a senior government official told NBC News.
Such reporting had Marc Elias, the top lawyer for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign who has drawn scrutiny for his role in pushing Trump-Russia collusion claims, pointing to U.S. Code Title 18, Section 2071. "The media is missing the really, really big reason why the raid today is a potential blockbuster in American politics," Elias said in a tweet.

They could legally disqualify Trump and it would take years to go through the courts. Would cause much chaos...

The Constitution precisely lays out the qualifications to be President.
That law goes directly against that.
Of course, the Constitution and the laws only matter so long as everyone agrees that we're following both of them in the correct order of precedence.
Had Hillary campaigned in Michigan in 2016, we'd already be past that point. The DoJ, FBI, good portion of the federal workforce, 48-50 current US senators depending on the day, the entire potential jury pool in DC and half of the judges in this country are happy with abandoning anything that would stop them from gaining and holding on to power, and a few supreme court justices being appointed is all the difference.
Maybe the tide will turn against them in November, but that side of America has made it very clear about the lengths it would go to when it has the chance.

It is well established legal doctrine that lawmakers—Congress—cannot add or modify requirements for becoming POTUS beyond the clear letter qualifications listed directly in the Constitution.
They’ve tried in the past, and the USSC shot them down.
This is a nuisance effort, hoping to tie up Trump in legal wranglings before he gets nominated. That’s the entire basis of the banana republic raid. Basically, a hail mary attempt.

Okay, riddle me this.
The President of the United States is the chief classification authority in the US government. Not the Congress, not the FBI, not any of the mysterious three-lettered agencies, the President.
If a sitting President decides to declassify a document, any document, that is a possession of the US government, he has that authority. Therefore, until the time when he is not the President, he can declassify ANYTHING. Now, would it be right, would it be intelligent, would it be a good thing to declassify certain documents aside as those are deeper questions that each President must answer for himself, he has that authority and can do so.
Now, if a subsequent President, upon learning that a certain document was declassified by his predecessor, decides to reclassify that document he can do that. At that time, the former President must be informed that the document is once again classified and may be required to return it to the US government for safekeeping. BUT, this does not imply that his removing the document in the first place was a felony. It can’t be since, at the time of the removal, the document was properly declassified.
So, by what stretch of legal imagination are they trying to claim that this raid was about classified documents in the possession of the former President? Inquiring minds want to know.
No, FBI claims aside, this is an attempt to smear President Trump’s name in the media and that alone since he can’t be guilty.
If my logic is faulty, let me know where I went wrong here, but I don’t think it is.
Except the US Constitution says the qualifications of the president, not law. The liberals suck at law. They abuse it and read things into it, but no law can trump (hehe) the constitution.
