Aug 9 (Reuters) - U.S. worker productivity in the second quarter fell at its steepest pace on an annual basis since 1948, the Labor Department said on Tuesday, while growth in unit labor costs accelerated, suggesting strong wage pressures will continue to help keep inflation elevated.
Nonfarm productivity, which measures hourly output per worker, fell at 2.5% pace from a year ago. It also declined sharply in the second quarter at a 4.6% annualized rate, after having declined by an upwardly revised7.4% in the first three months of the year, the report showed.

There is no recession.......................😉
HUH? In this roaring economic upswing? 😂🐎💩
Still not technically a recession, because technically there is no technical definition anymore...
The CPI and PPI are coming out over the next two days.
I’m guessing they’re not going to be very good numbers.
Everything in Washington is political and everything is about timing. The Swamp loves distractions.
I’m guessing they’re not going to be very good numbers.
Are you kidding? They'll be doubleplusGood, by the new UNdefinition.
Never ascribe to planning what may just be actual malice
We need a production augmentation bill immediate… lol
Nothing to see here. It’s not a recession, it’s a strawberry sundae. Prosperity is right around the corner with a black jack and a ski mask on.
Upward revised, after the original numbers were digested by the sheeple and no one will throw a fit now.
Always the case, every time.
The CPI is also a joke. Not even near the real level of high double inflation that everyone is experiencing for themselves.
When the numbers make them look bad they just re-define them.
Moving the goal posts and paying off the refs, as it were.
Happy Days Are Here,Again!
Let’s go Brandon!
They’ve been talking about 9% inflation. I went to buy my usual package of low-end sausage for red beans and rice. Used to be $2.99, it’s now $4.29, a 43% increase. Wife said to pick up a pack of frozen burger patties. Those used to be $9/pack, now $12, a 33% increase. Right now 9% inflation actually looks pretty good.
work from home not working out so well apparently.
Nah I doubt it..but I do believe the raid had something to do with something BIG coming out about the Biden family, so look over here instead of look over there kind of distraction
Inflation isn’t a problem for the elites but it is a serious challenge for average folks.
The 9% number is a fabricated smoke screen.
We’re too busy checking ourselves to decide which bathroom to use.
Why should anyone work any harder than they have already been doing?
If you work for someone else, be it a mom and pop or a mega corporation, your only reward for hard work is more of it to do.
If you are an entrepreneur, make more, get taxed more.
If you’re not self-employed your wages will *NOT* keep up with inflation, and if your aren’t a LGTBQ POC you aren’t getting a promotion, so why not do the minimum to avoid getting fired? If it’s a publicly traded company, bust your butt, give it 110%, and the CEO gets a bigger bonus.
The sheeple being herded by the DC shepherds.
Nothing to see here...move along.

Hey, they just got their numbers a little bit mixed up. Brandon’s approval rating is 9% and inflation is at 33%, /s
