An ICU nurse suspected of causing a fiery crash in Los Angeles that killed six people and injured eight more has been charged with multiple counts of murder. Nicole Lorrine Linton, 37, was charged with six counts of murder and five counts of gross vehicular manslaughter, prosecutors announced on Monday, according to KTLA.

Wow! Glad to see this! A mother of one of the victims said something to the effect that, ‘Why is SHE still alive and six innocent people had to die?’
I hope these families get their JUSTICE.

ANYTHING, especially a vehicle, can be a deadly weapon. We lost a real Salt Of The Earth neighbor to a drunk driver. Beau and I both wrote statements to the judge to consider at the (DRUNK AT 10AM!) young woman’s sentencing.
She was driving southbound on La Brea toward Slauson, which is a busy, wide street, and a fairly steep downhill grade in that direction. High speeds are not all that uncommon on that stretch of road, which passes through some hills and oil fields without much cross traffic. But this was next level. My bet is she was looking at her cell phone and never realized that she was nearing the intersection.
Murder charges are appropriate, IMHO.

$70k is about minimum for an ICU nurse. Probably double that for a traveler ICU nurse in a place like LA.
