Donald Trump: Next President Must ‘Remove Rogue Bureaucrats and Root out the Deep State’
Breitbart ^ | 6 Aug 2022 | JORDAN DIXON-HAMILTON

Former President Donald Trump once again talked about overhauling the administrative state on Saturday, telling a crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas that the next Congress and president need to “remove rogue bureaucrats and root out the deep state.”

Trump told the CPAC audience:

As we secure the border, another key priority for the next Congress and the next President will be to drain the swamp once and for all to remove rogue bureaucrats and root out the deep state. Congress should pass groundbreaking reform empowering the president to ensure that any federal employee who is corrupt, incompetent, or unnecessary for the job can be told, “You’re fired.” You ever heard that? You’re fired.

Trump’s comments come after recent reports asserted Trump would use his Schedule F executive order to fire nearly 50,000 government bureaucrats if he returns to the White House in 2024. Trump seemingly confirmed these reports when he referenced the executive order in a recent speech at Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit last month.

Trump complained that the current process to remove a federal bureaucrat from their post is a lengthy process that takes an average of five years:

Our current appeals process to remove these bureaucrats, people that can really be bad, they can even be thieves. You can catch them stealing large sums of money. You have to go through a three stage appeals process, which takes on average five years per stage. 15 years you’ll be gone; you’ll be out of office by then.

We have military forces to “break things.” But they do it with skill and organization.

While I voted for Trump twice, I believe he did a great job at breaking things. But not quite great enough. If his health holds up for term two, I think he could do it again and maybe better the second time around. But, he needs someone who can take care of the other part of — organization (including not hiring any more duds).

Maybe Trump & Desantis might be just the right ticket. It would be a gamble for Desantis, though. The crazies will certainly pull out all the stops to kill Trump again. And if it’s bad, it may well take out Desantis through association (remember Nixon & Agnew).

It’s early, yet. Two years is a life-time in politics.

Trump isn’t going to fix anything through ‘normal’ channels.

As long as you have the administrative apparatus, it will get filled by leftists, ideologues and political hacks.

Many agencies need to be simply ELIMINATED.

First he needs to get a super strong security detail protection with extremely loyal men at his side 24/7 because you know they’ll come after him. This is exactly what happened to John F Kennedy he wanted to eliminate that department and he came real close in doing it when they murdered him. Trump better watch his back. Don’t think for one minute the swamp the disgusting evil swamp is going to let him do this. They’ll try every trick in the book to bring him down even go as far as assassination. Lord father God in the name of Jesus build a hedge of protection around President Trump and his family...we bleed the blood of Jesus on him and his family for protection in Jesus name amen! 🙏🏻

Two points:

One, Trump is precisely correct in advocating the exorcism of the bureaucratic state - it is an antithetical anathema to self-governing and the rule of law.

Two, in 2024 we NEED a candidate who can hit the ground running for righting the course of our ship-of-state. As magnificent as is DeSantis, he would need a year or more to get his sea-legs, and we don’t have a year to spare. Trump is ready 18 months ago.

No one has yet mentioned the estimated 30-50 million foreign nationals residing here illegally, sucking the system dry like a cancer patient covered in leeches. The logistics alone to ‘fix’ that problem would require a state-of-war/national emergency footing.

The top floors at DOJ and FBI need to be cleared out with a fire hose.

Remove the word "hose", and you are correct.

I wish he thought of this bright idea while in office. Instead of selecting a beta male backstabber in Pence...Instead of selecting someone who would make sure everybody knew he was THE Alpha Dog, the Stable Genius could have made the VP something worth having, and could have put someone in there who could have drained the swamp 24/7/365/4. But alas...

I agree. I think he could do far more good in another role, instead of being a lightning rod as he would be as President.

He’s a lightning rod because you people choose for him to be a lightning rod because of what the media says. Stop that!

I wish Trump was a Free Republican, individual Freedom type guy instead of a populist.

If so, his reflex would be to eliminate whole parts of the illegitimate central swap. NOT, to promise something popular-yet-useless - like his pledge to try and fire a few percent of current swamp dwellers.

Forget about the dang dwellers. Bust up the swamp itself!

He'll have a red congress. Start with the swamp's youth-oriented tributary. Entirely end the cesspool known as the Dept of Education! For God's sake, if you can't make a case for that virtuous goal as your first battle against the evil central swamp, then you are not trying.

Instead, all The Don is bringing to the swamp battle here is a ladle.

You don't fix a giant disgusting homeless camp by brushing off 4% of the bums, temporarily. Bust up the camp!

The Donald, proud Pappa of the wicked SwampVax, seems to believe he can make the concept of central gov't great again. It never was. Which is why the much wiser Framers strove to limit it structurally, not by meaningless headcounts.

A thorough cleaning is overdue, but sadly, it’ll take more than one administration to do it.

You could fire 30% of the federal bureaucracy and most people wouldn’t even notice.

The Communists are going to do everything in their power to destroy the Country before 2025. If the House doesn’t start the impeachment proceedings in January we are a cooked goose. Forget it if you are counting on McCarthy to get the ball rolling.

Would also be good not to fill your vice presidency, cabinet, staffing office, etc., with them.
