Donald Trump: Next President Must ‘Remove Rogue Bureaucrats and Root out the Deep State’
Breitbart ^ | 6 Aug 2022 | JORDAN DIXON-HAMILTON

Former President Donald Trump once again talked about overhauling the administrative state on Saturday, telling a crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas that the next Congress and president need to “remove rogue bureaucrats and root out the deep state.”

Trump told the CPAC audience:

As we secure the border, another key priority for the next Congress and the next President will be to drain the swamp once and for all to remove rogue bureaucrats and root out the deep state. Congress should pass groundbreaking reform empowering the president to ensure that any federal employee who is corrupt, incompetent, or unnecessary for the job can be told, “You’re fired.” You ever heard that? You’re fired.

Trump’s comments come after recent reports asserted Trump would use his Schedule F executive order to fire nearly 50,000 government bureaucrats if he returns to the White House in 2024. Trump seemingly confirmed these reports when he referenced the executive order in a recent speech at Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit last month.

Trump complained that the current process to remove a federal bureaucrat from their post is a lengthy process that takes an average of five years:

Our current appeals process to remove these bureaucrats, people that can really be bad, they can even be thieves. You can catch them stealing large sums of money. You have to go through a three stage appeals process, which takes on average five years per stage. 15 years you’ll be gone; you’ll be out of office by then.

All levels of security clearances answer to the president.

In theory only.

"When there are levels of security clearances above that which the POTUS has,"

I didn't know there was such a thing. He has the nuke codes which I would think is the highest clearance there is. All the ABC intel agencies/councils are part of the Executive Branch. POTUS is the ultimate authority of that Branch. He can't fire Senate approved cabinet level officials or other elected persons, but everyone else is fair game. Could be wrong.

The main problem is cleaning out Congress of which he has no authority.

*I like your idea.*

There’s more. Lets say the GOP has 55+ senators some day-60 is dreaming. That would allow the GOP to annoint a red state democrat to run against the Thunes/Hagels(remember him?). Make sure the guy’s health is not good enough to go the full 6 years. Vote him in and stab the Linda’s in the front! A GOP Gov. can then hire one of us.

This is only possible with 55+. Offer to vote the gimp in for a million bucks to the RNC.

Again, there are security clearances higher than that of POTUS. There is and are secrets in this country held at those clearances that the POTUS has no access to, period.

Utter nonsense.

Anybody who has been briefed for a security clearance knows that.

“Hold all government employees accountable to their oath to defend the constitution. Charge all with treason who fail.”

It’s a perfect solution. Except who would see that the offenders are charged and tried? Jeff Sessions? Bill Barr?

DeSantis might be a great AG.

Love me some Trumpie, but in 2016 he talked about draining the swamp. I guess he didn’t realize how deep and rotten those waters are. He’s also going to have to be a better judge of who he surrounds himself with and that includes Javanka.

We said that in 2015, but Trump hired Sessions and Barr instead.

Drivel....... he knew this before and flat out refused to fight.

Why think he has become a fighter? Why think he even knows how to fight? He makes deals.

Yup. I believe perhaps something like 6 have higher clearance. Always felt it was BS that we don’t know who they are.

Dunno, ask Col. Allen West.

But if one thinks the POTUS has access to every programs, national security secret, etc., one is delusional.

No, there is not.

If someone told Trump that and he believed it, that's his fault.

The President of the United States is the nation's Chief Executive and Commander in Chief of the United States military and shall be given access to any government or military information that they request.

And say "YOU'RE FIRED!" to entire departments and agencies that have either outlived their usefulness or grown way beyond their original intent.

BS.
For starters, show me one or any POTUS who had open access to the Roswell Incident or to any of the programs that flared off of it.

If you think a POTUS who only is in said position for a mere 4-8 years is going to gain access to national security secrets, etc. that have been around for decades and through a multitude of Presidents’, again, one is delusional.

Sadly, rooting out the DS would mean essentially, purging every career politician currently holding office, and I don’t see that happening short of an act of God which would take most of them out in a very short time frame.

Don’t weep for them. Economic recovery would happen so quickly that they’d all find work soon enough.

At this point, I would not care if they found work. Let them enjoy the fruits of their labors like we have had to for so many years. They can reap what they sowed.
