COVID has killed a million-plus Americans. But the disastrous US policy response — blunt-instrument shutdowns and endless fear-mongering — has inflicted its own terrible toll, per numbers gathered in a Wall Street Journal report.
One ugly example: Data show a serious spike in deaths from heart attacks (4.1%) and strokes (5.2%) in 2020 over 2019. Why? Likely because policies and rhetoric on isolation and social distancing caused people to miss doctor visits and avoid hospitals.
And US drug-overdose deaths hit a hideous record, topping 107,000 in 2021, up about 15% increase from 2020, which was up nearly 30% from 2019. “We’ve never seen anything like this,” said the Centers for Disease Control staffer in charge of mortality numbers.

Yes, those who died with covid are counted as died from covid.
Similarly those who died after getting vaxxed are counted as died from vaccine.
Fact is millions of Americans died every year, before covid and will continue dying regardless of covid.

Absolutely untrue. Somehow COVID-1984 is such a special illness that Flu deaths disappeared for 2020 and 2021. Motorcycle crash deaths were even recorded as COVID-1984 deaths.

The psychological and emotional toll is astronomical. Isolate people and they do the opposite of thrive.
All on purpose. They want us afraid, weak, and of low spirit - or dead. “They” is our government. The institutions are strongly harmful to the people.

Simply one of the most ignorant statements made in a while. Isolation followed by the economic disasters have stripped people of hope and a will to live. They have nothing. Mandatory lock downs were among the worst thing possible. This plus the constant fear mkngerong snd knee jerk reflexes of those who promote fear of vaccinations and ongoing breathlessly reporting spikes and positivity despite not realizing the virus is now a nothing burger — the psychiatric harm is real, and lies squarely on the whack jobs on both sides.
Truly a lack of education and critical thinking with scientific support for the rabidly antivaxxers as well as the rabid scare mongers whom tally every case.

It is worth a research look of course. Research everything. It’s the scientific method. But these two articles are hardly medical coding. I did a quick search of the ICD 10 database for diagnoses matching the key words in the linked articles.
As it was a brief scan and targeted search, I stand to be corrected. You usually do exceptional research. It’s the reason I did a quick look to make sure. But I defer to your thoughts on what is the ICDM 10 code for these.
I have never help that refusing the vaccine is cowardice nor should it ever be mandatory. And I’d course informed consent can exist. Informed consent required discussion of known risks benefits and alternatives to a procedure or treatments. Myocarditis is a possibility with many treatments and vaccinations. So the real questions become:
1. What is then nature if myocarditis. According to numerous well vetted articles myocarditis relates to vaccination is brief and self limited. I could only find reference to an handful of deaths which are weakly related to myocarditis as a result of Covid vaccines.
2. Outside of quite tenuous wording and opinion found on these forums, using such words as probably, possibly and perhaps, clinically there is no rise in VTE deaths AMI or stroke from unknown causes. In order for the prediction to be correct that these vaccines are causing havoc, certainly over 300M doses being given we would now have people piling up in the ICU and hospitals with unexplained etiologies for these diseases. We simply do not see unexplained rises. The incidence of stroke and cardiac disease is the same as prior to Covid with obvious precursors to these diseases when it occurs.
3. When you have repeated blogs that are quoted with littler evidence of credibility (tenpenny, kirsch, bitchute, et al) and the breathless forecasts of ranlongster which state it will be a year until it’s apparent the death that vaccinations cause, and it has been said for coming up on two years, well the credibility is simply lost.
4. The vaccines were of course imperfect. I stand by my statements that they prevent death with slob and delta strains which I was dealing with exactly one year ago this week as the peak of delta in the southeast. But now? There is no reason to vaccinate except in rare instances. There is no reason to test. Omicron is a URI that has no ARDS on chest radiography. It is no longer an LRI. as all viruses evolve in pandemics to highly contagious lowly fatal strains this is where we are arrived.
5. In my judgment this virus which had a significant genetic shift probably because of illegal gain of function research has settled back into a common cold.
