After a protracted battle over its LGBT content, residents of Jamestown Township, Michigan, voted no (62.5% to 37.5%) on August 2 to a 10-year millage renewal and increase for the Patmos Library. (A millage rate is the tax rate used to determine local property taxes.)
Bridge Michigan has reported that 84% of the library’s $245,000 annual budget derives from the now rejected millage, which means, according to library board president Larry Walton, Patmos will likely run out of funds in early 2023, despite the library having $325,000 in reserve. It will also mean residents won't have their property taxes raised by $24.
Walton accused those who voted to defund the library over its LGBT content of being “short sighted.”
Nathan Triplett, president of the ACLU of Michigan, lauded Walton and his team for "refus[ing] to give in" to the demands of residents of a county that voted for Donald Trump over Joe Biden by a 20-point margin.

What, did your mother tear the underwear section out of the Sears catalog? ;-)
Send in the Sheriff to investigate the library board for misfeasance and embezzlement. I guarantee that every one of those rats is dirty. Then send the rats to state prison for 5 to 10 years. That’s how to end local rat infestation and the theft of taxpayer dollars.
Use local resources - a pro-2nd amendment, constitutional sheriff to take back your town and your heritage.
Where are you going to find a conservative librarian? The librarian programs in the universities and the American Library Association (ALA) are like the teachers' unions: totally left-wing.
ALA is pushing LGBTQ crap on its web site, as well as pushing against "book bans":
American Library Association
ALA “Recommended Reading” web page promotes seven topics, among them:
• The Rainbow Book List: an annual bibliography of quality books with significant and authentic GLBTQ content, which are recommended for people from birth through eighteen years of age.
• Frequently Challenged Books: Lists of challenged books by decade, top 10, authors, and more....
By having the legislature strike the requirement of having to have a degree in library science, and then appointing a literate conservative.
If the Left has captured the credentialing institutions, then eliminate them.
well...I forgot about that one:>)

It’s way past time for citizens to take our libraries and schools back from sexual kink idiots. Really, enough of this drama stupidity.
As I said earlier, if the Left has captured the credentialing organizations, the response is not despair, the response should be to nuke the credentialing group from orbit.
Does it really take a Masters of Library Science to run a public library? Would experience in managing a small business not suffice?
