Conservatives Warn Alex Jones Show Trial Sets Precedent For Silencing Dissent Against Establishment

Conservatives and legal experts are warning that the ongoing show trial against Alex Jones is meant to set the precedent to shut down any opinions or commentary that counters establishment narratives.

Revolver News founder Darrin J. Beattie, constitutional lawyer Robert Barnes, lawyer Mike Cernovich, Human Events editor Jack Posobiec, and others all warned that the Texas defamation trial against Jones is the first legal salvo against free speech and dissenting views.

“Regime is thirsting for a precedent in Alex Jones case so no one can question official narratives on the internet again,” Beattie tweeted Wednesday.

“Alex Jones precedent means if you don’t accept the Vegas shooting explanation, then FBI agents can sue you because you’re calling them liars by implication,” Cernovich noted. “Conservative media doesn’t seem to care. They aren’t saying a word on the due process violations in Jones case.”

“The Alex Jones show trial is a preview of what the regime intends to do to anyone and everyone who doesn’t conform with The Narratives,” journalist Jordan Schachtel said.

“Alex Jones case is to use it as precedent to go after those who contest 2020 election & any other government disfavored ‘conspiracy minded’ folks, like everyone who challenged lockdowns, mandates, Covid origins, lies to get us into war,” Barnes pointed out after noting a juror asked the court if the lawsuit against Jones can “stop election deniers” in future cases.

In fact, the New York Times this week confirmed the alarming hypothesis, admitting that the establishment’s goal is to “send a signal to other conspiracy purveyors about the cost of online lies” using the legal system.

This is Case No. 47g, Everyone vs. Everyone. Representing the side of Everyone is Gerald Broflovski.

Thank you, Your Honor. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, Everyone has committed a crime here, and Everyone must pay for that crime. My client, Everyone, has been hurt by this crime and must be compensated.

I haven’t been following this, but the article call it a “defamation trial”. Defamation is a civil matter. Reading the article, you’d think the FBI was the plaintiff.

People can say all sorts of things about Biden, Hillary, the Director if the FBI, etc. You can stretch the truth and get away with it. They are public figures. Alex Jones made the stupid mistake of going after a private citizen. That’s very different.

AJ is not a hill worth dying on. The man is a charlatan who makes his living using scare tactics. To hell with him.

Alex Jones caused extreme pain to the families of slain children. He did it on his radio show. Defamation suit is appropriate. If he’s a big boy he can either show what he said was true or he can pay up

Alex Jones does not represent conservative values.

He’s a news aggregator, fear peddler, and doomsday products huckster.

Nothing more.

“stop election deniers”

That’s exactly who they’re shooting for, as I’m sure they’re planning on stealing future elections too if they think they can get away with it. They just don’t want people to be able to freely talk about it. Even Fox News, the controlled opposition, won’t allow it.

You can say/think what you will of Alex Jones personally or professionally, but the way this trial is being conducted is a much bigger story.

“He’s a news aggregator, fear peddler, and doomsday products huckster.”

In other words he is a perfect test case for the first amendment.

In this case “government” is not placing restrictions on speech—they are using proxies and the civil courts to do it for them.

I have had many folks on FR make all sorts of false claims against me over the years:

“Putin Puffer”

“Insane conspiracy theorist”

and many many more....

If “false claims” is grounds for silencing someone this forum would get quiet in a hurry...

Because that’s the only way Jones can garner sympathy is to lie about what is happening. If he told the truth, that he is simply being sued by the family members of dead kids that he lied about on the air for profit, he wouldn’t get much sympathy.

Yeah changing the very definition of things like “vaccine” and now “recession”, it’s all blatantly Orwellian.

And then the screaming snowflakes will claim you caused them “extreme pain” by not calling them by their preferred pronouns. You don’t think that’s “extreme pain?” Well, they say it is, so...

Oh, you think they have to prove it’s false? Judge Pilate asks “What is truth?” It’s what 12 people say it is. Twelve liberal idiots in a very blue city are likely to have a different idea of “truth” than you do.

Has anyone from LBJ's family, Bush's family, etc. sued all those conspiracy theorists who "proved" that LBJ or Bush or some other particular person had Kennedy killed?

Has any one of the 911 Truthers been sued by the families of those killed in 911? Did Bush or Cheney or the then head of the FBI or CIA sue the Truthers?

Did anyone associated with the Flight 800 incident get sued for saying it was taken out by a missile?

Did anyone get successfully sued for claiming this person or that person was a communist agent?

What makes the Sandyhook people so special? I can see them going after anyone who sent them death threats, doxed them, or stalked them.

Alex Jones wasn't the only one suspicious of Sandyhook. Why not go after those folks as well? Or are they only going after the guy who has bucks?

Reminds me of the self-righteous folks who went after 7-11 for selling the relatively tame Playboy and Penthouse magazines, while much raunchier stuff was readily available at any mom-and-pop liquor store.

It's all about the money and the publicity.
