Prosecutors in Napa County, California, have walked back what they call a “boilerplate” drug allegation in the DUI complaint against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi.
As Breitbart News reported on Tuesday, Napa prosecutors released the criminal complaint against Paul Pelosi in which it stated he had injured a driver “while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and a drug and under their combined influence.” On Wednesday, the prosecutors clarified that the word “drug” was simply boilerplate language.

It’s a Big Club, and you ain’t in it.
The Pelosi Crime Family is part of The Democrat Party Organized Crime Syndicate.
LOL, at last they tried to be creative with their special handling of this very special contributor.
NOTHING will happen to this CRIME FAMILY HEAD!
So their “boilerplate” approach is to add an additional charge of drug influence to all their DUI’s?
Here we go... By the time the prosecutor is done, they’ll be handing Mr. Pelosi the keys to the city and the arresting officer will be fired.
So my friends son went to jail for carrying boiler plates?
Not only that, the red headed flaming Dem DA did not examine the medical record reports of the victim who has a serious injury and grevious bodily harm. The charges should be a felony.
Now it’s clear why the Speaker went to Taiwan, to distract from her husband’s DUI trial.
“Boilerplate” drug allegations???? So the DA routinely adds “boilerplate” drug allegations without analyzing whether there is any merit or basis for them? And then they walk it back for a politically influential defendant like Paul Pelosi? But presumably keep them in for defendants who aren’t politically connected? I don’t know what is worse.
The charges should be a felony.

They would be for people without the right political connections.
We clearly have a tiered justice system.

I’m sure a team of investigative journalists will soon be going back and looking at other, similar arrest records. Do they all have that same boilerplate language? This controversy will probably be cleared up in a few days.
I kid, of course. We don’t have investigative journals in this country anymore. Unless you count those folks who are investigating what the Kardashians are having for dinner tonight.
At a minimum, I’d expect him to be on prescription drugs of some sort. Just about everyone his age is on a whole cocktail of them. Even if they aren’t mind altering, they often interact with alcohol in various ways.
If you're a powerful person, they might back off the public pronouncement that you are on drugs, but if you're just a regular Joe, you're stuck with the accusation for the rest of your life.
Let’s calm down. I have not seen the complaint but I’ll accept the article’s representations. Vehicle Code Sec. 23152(b) makes it a crime to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while driving. By “boilerplate” they mean the complaint just recites the statutory language. Could essentially be a clerical error that it apparently says “and” instead of “and/or” or “just “or”. I have no doubt Pelosi would like to pull strings to get Paul out of this, and maybe there is chicanery a fort, but the language of the complaint is not to be freaked out over
So, some lazy ass government employee used “boilerplate” text and did not edit. How often does that happen? They don’t give a damn about Americans or equal justice. How many people have been wrongly prosecuted? What’s the truth in Pauly P’s case. The government has zero credibility.
At his arraignment they called the cases in alphabetical order. PABCDE....
Seem clear language to me...
