Pro-Life Congresswoman Jackie Walorski was killed Wednesday in a car accident in her northern Indiana District, according to her office, along with two of her staff members.
Walorski was first elected to represent Indiana’s 2nd Congressional District in 2012. She previously served three terms in the state’s legislature. She was born in South Bend and lived near Elkhart, Indiana and she and her husband were both Christian missionaries where they established a foundation that provided food and medical supplies to impoverished children.
“Jackie’s husband, was just informed by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s office that Jackie was killed in a car accident this afternoon. She has returned home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. We will have no further comment at this time,” her office said in a statement.
House Republican Whip Steve Scalise said he and other colleagues were shocked and saddened by the news.
“I am devastated and saddened to learn about the tragic passing of my dear friend Jackie Walorksi and two of her staffers,” he said. “Jackie was an instrumental member of our conference, serving as a member of my deputy whip team for several years. She was a champion for the people of Indiana, and she will be remembered for her kindness, tenacity, and commitment to helping others.”
“Jackie and her staffers died serving her constituents. They will be missed, and our nation will miss their service. My prayers are with Jackie’s loving husband Dean, her entire family, and the families of both of her staffers,” he added.
Here’s more on what happened:
The sheriffs department reported that a vehicle “traveled left of center and collided head on with a southbound sports utility vehicle,” which was carrying Walorski.
Walorski was in the car with communications director Emma Thompson and district director Zachery Potts when they collided with another vehicle at about 12:30 p.m.
The driver of the other vehicle, who was driving alone, also was killed.
The sheriffs department said that the driver of Walorski’s vehicle was taken to the hospital by ambulance in critical condition, but died in transit.
“Though we came from very different places politically, she was always prepared to work together where there was common ground,” said Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. “My thoughts and prayers are with her family and the other victims of this terrible crash.”
Walorski had a 100% pro-life voting record and frequently sponsored or spoke out in favor of pro-life legislation.
Called home, before her work was done.
She lived to see Roe overturned, even Norma McCorvey did not get that joy.
Someone else will have to handle Indiana.
Her work was done when she was called home.
Oh and everyone before I get complaints about all the other 500 or so threads on her death that have been posted, threads by major networks.
Keep this in mind. Mine came from a Pro Life news source. Mine told of what she really did in this life as a congresswoman and how wonderful she was and what she should be remembered for.

Also keep in mind that now the left is going to celebrate her death because of this article.
She’s dead Jim. If you don’t know by now you can’t read
I feel more sorry for the 28 year old assistant but bad deal all around
Thank you for posting this.
Undivided roads are death traps. K-rails would be a fast and cheap way to save thousands every year.
But I guess we're too busy sending billions, yes trillions to foreign countries.

Is that you humblegunner?
“But I guess we’re too busy sending billions, yes trillions to foreign countries. “
You mean Seattle? They have a lot of those on the sidewalks.
Thank you for getting it.
What a clever thing to say.
I don’t think we’re sending/spending hundreds of billions or trillions in Seattle.
You’re welcome. Some of the self-appointed moderators are a pain and have no business nosing into things.
That’s two dead R Congressmen just today.
Opps that the same gal in another thread - my aging confusion.
“Though we came from very different places politically, she was always prepared to work together where there was common ground,” said Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. “My thoughts and prayers are with her family and the other victims of this terrible crash.”
Buttigieg continued: “Had she been riding light rail or driving a Tesla, this would not have happened. This should remind all of us to get rid of racist freeways.” //sarcasm.
“Opps that the same gal in another thread - my aging confusion.”
Like I said - old news
