I posted this so all FReepers could see how California Urban Counties have the Best Crooked Cops (and Sheriffs, no less) that Money Can Buy!

The Title is a little difficult, however a California Sheriff is harassing an Indiana business after losing in California court and losing with California prosecutors.

We had a FReeper some years back who told a story about armed California Franchise Tax Board agents showing up on her property in Wyoming demanding proof that she lived in Wyoming.
In her case the local sheriff chased off the CA pirates. In Indiana the damned fool local court helped out the pirates from California.

A sheriff using his office to do a favor for a friend or benefactor should result in a corruption investigation.

Yep, this Sam Anagnostou, after losing on the original tort and complaint with California courts and prosecutors, used his insider connections with Sheriff Carlos Bolanos to Judge and Prosecutor shop and refiled charges that were presented in secret to Indiana court and Police.
Then they used San Mateo Sheriff Thugs to illegally seize records and illegally arrest Batmobile Guy.

Is this the one where the man wanted a copy of the Batmobile but failed to pay for it?

The batmobile folks didn’t demand a warrant? They let some guys with badges rummage around w/o identification first?
We’ll, I think I see a problem.
A warrant (if present) served by out of state deputies? I’d have a problem with that.

The guy should have taken given them the batarang treatment and had them leaving with dents in their heads.

California Coppers cleverly conned Cass County Cops.
San Mateo Coppers (on the sly) got a Cass county Indiana warrant (ex parte), and talked the locals into letting them serve it.

Indeed it was a California D legislative leader who famously replied
“We have the best legislature money can buy!”
when challenged that he was running a corrupt den of thieves
the ArchAngel Michael couldn’t have responded with a more honest statement than good ol’ Jesse Unruh did, above
ha!
