Abortion rights are on the ballot in Kansas, where voters will decide the state’s post-Roe future (today!)

Voters in Kansas are the first in the US after the collapse of Roe v Wade to decide whether to protect the right to abortion care, a high-stakes test that could have a major impact on abortion access in the heart of the country.

The outcome of the election on 2 August will determine whether the state’s constitution explicitly denies the right to abortion access in Kansas. Anti-abortion state lawmakers are likely to pass severe restrictions on abortion care if the amendment passes.

One poll from co/efficient shows the election is likely to be close, with 47 per cent of primary voters saying they will support the amendment, 43 per cent of voters saying they plan to vote against it and 10 per cent undecided. Kansans are also evenly split on whether abortion should be legal, according to polling from the Pew Research Center.

Voting on whether or not to shed innocent blood. How quaint.

47 to 43 is “close”?

I’m what world is a 10% loss “close”?

Unless the margin of error is around that much calling it “close” is wishful thinking

Anyone reading the article can tell that the author favors abortion. This is not a news article bit an opinion piece.

Yep. First clue to that was "to protect the right to abortion care"

I pray tomorrow morning at this time the pro-aborts are wailing in pangs of agony.

I’m not surprised VTB is close. The opponents were smart to frame a yes vote as a vote for politicians to meddle in the abortion issue. They couldn’t win straight up on abortion in Kansas but they can capitalize on people’s distrust of politicians. A politically smart approach to try to gain support for a position that at its core is evil.

Since it’s close, Demonrats will cheat in Kansas City and Wichita, ensuring that Kansas will be a baby-murdering state.

Yeah. This was supposed to be a Republic, where voting on murder was supposed to be unconstitutional. Oh well, it’s over.

Typical Kansas. You need a lawyer in the voting booth.

See the source image

You should see how the Govenor gets to pick replacements for the Kansas Supreme Court. Right out of SNL.

No cheating necessary. It was a blowout. If abortion is the midterm discussion, we’re doomed!!!
