You Tube has a slew of anti-scammers who target these scam centers. Very entertaining watching them mess with the scammers.
Never respond to any phone, text or email contact that you didn’t initiate. If you think it is legitimate then access the website from a protected browser. Do not click on a link.
Save yourself a lot of trouble.
The reason these people fall for these scams are they don’t contact a 3rd party. It’s easier to just go along than do any critical thinking.

And trust absolutely no one who calls or sends you an unsolicited email. Assume that they are all frauds. Because they are.
It really bothers me that this problem isnât highlighted more. The government should be running TV spots warning about this. And they should be putting notices in Social Security mailings, etc.
You wonât save everyone. But you will save a lot.

Time to take control of your phone and stop answering spam. My phone handles all that crap in the background without a peep sometimes dozens per day. They may as well be beating their heads on the wall

My 88 year old sister sent $3,000 in gift cards to an address in California. Her check book has been taken away so it wonât happen again. Poor Sis never questioned the Indian caller and didnât know scams were run like this.
My wife gets at least 2 calls from India each day. She keeps them on the phone as long as possible to tie them and mess with their minds. Strange that I have never gotten any scam calls.
