A 24-year-old police officer was shot and killed during a traffic stop in Madison County, Indiana, around 2 a.m. on Sunday, according to law enforcement.
Noah Shahnavaz, a U.S. Army veteran who had been a member of the Elwood Police Department for 11 months, was taken to an Indianapolis-area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect, 42-year-old Carl Roy Webb Boards II, allegedly got out of a 2012 Buick LaCrosse after being pulled over and fired at Shahnavaz multiple times, striking him at least once, according to the Indiana State Police.
Boards then allegedly fled the scene in his car before Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies located him around 2:30 a.m.

Doesn’t deserve to live.
Way too much verbiage. The headline writer must get paid by the word. How about “murdered during traffic stop”?
Rest In Peace, officer.
It’s getting increasingly dangerous to be a cop.
A violet thug? Looks black to me. :)
And black privilege is probably the reason he was out. However, I didn't see anything in the article that he was released but should not have been released from jail/prison. Any data?
Violet thugs are the worst.
WHY WAS THIS VIOLET THUG ON THE STREET?
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Because this is an uncivilized country where racially motivated physical attacks upon whites and Asians is tolerated, even encouraged. But you already know that, don’t you?
Doesn’t deserve to live.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Of course not, and in any truly civilized country he would be afforded due process, and upon conviction for murder in the first degree he would be executed before the end of next month. But that’s in a truly civilized country.
Another source says he has a lengthy criminal record. I’d like to see what he did before.
Rest in Peace, Officer.
Amen.
The number of prison escapees in the US varies each year. Generally 2100 to 2800.//////////////////////
So it is possible the soft on crime “no death penalty” legislation in most states has allowed the public to be endangered again from the escape (or parole) of rapists, muggers, child molesters and murderers who would have been eliminate by execution otherwise.
I consider that immoral.
would like to see criminal record....

Why was the officer making a traffic stop at 2:30 AM without backup?
Wow. Now I’m really wondering why the PD allowed the officer to make that stop without backup.
Thanks. Not a big surprise.
Too bad they didn’t take out the criminal permanently
