Jared Kushner, former President Trump’s son-in-law and ex-senior adviser, claims in a forthcoming memoir that former Trump adviser Stephen Bannon told him “I will break you in half” if Kushner crossed him, according to CNN, which obtained an early copy of the book.
“Steve, you gotta stop leaking on Gary,” Kushner says he told Bannon in his forthcoming book, “Breaking History: A White House Memoir,” referring to senior economic adviser Gary Cohn, who he says had told him that Bannon was leaking about him.
“We’re trying to build a team here,” he added.
Kushner says Bannon in response said, “Cohn’s the one leaking on me” and claimed Kushner was “undermining” the agenda of the then-president, according to CNN.
“And if you go against me, I will break you in half. Don’t f— with me,'” Kushner describes Bannon saying.
Kushner also wrote in the book that White House officials joked about Bannon’s duties being leaking to media outlets.
“Stephen Miller joked to Hope and me, ‘I have a plan to split up Steve Bannon’s extensive workload. Hope, you leak to Jonathan Swan at Axios. Jared, you call Mike Bender from the Wall Street Journal. I’ll call Jeremy Peters from the New York Times, and … we’re done,'” Kushner wrote, according to the network.
Bannon exited the White House in August 2017 during a year that saw several major personnel shake-ups and as the West Wing grappled with leaking and infighting among staff.

Jared is a snake.
I don’t believe this but... good for Bannon. Jared is a spoiled elitist.
I bet Bannon’s story would be different - if he wrote a book.
Those are Jared’s two least noxious characteristics.
I thought we would have seen a zillion books coming out of the Obama whitehouse after he left. What is it with all these books about the Trump whitehouse?
This is one of the reasons I don’t think Trump should be President again…he was horrible at picking advisers and seems to have either relied on their bad advice or been betrayed by almost every single one of them.
Jared is a Democrat.....I would NEVER trust him! He did a good job with the Abrahma Accords though.
Steve...? We’re waiting.
I can’t imagine being an outsider and going in to that swamp. You’re the president, so everyone is sucking up to you. It must have been a nightmare trying to determine who was actually on your side and willing to be in for the long haul. He knew next to nobody and is yet expected to be able to figure out who might stab him in the back. What a position to be in.
Next time, however, he will have it figured out. I hope I live long enough to see it happen.
Behind closed doors, Jared is a New York City Democrat.
He was in the unfortunate position of being a president with no party; he beat the Republican establishment to win the primaries, then the Dem establishment in the general election - so the two collaborated to obstruct his agenda.
I can’t imagine our elites will ever let someone like that through the primaries; they’ll use 3,000 mules to steal those instead. We’ll never have a voice in the White House again.
A lot of things get said in political battles. (yawn)
And its not like your company where you can fire whover you want with very little blowback. Trump couldnt just start firing everyone because it would cause a huge political row which severely hampers your ability to get anything done.
weasel jarad like his father. Trump should have kept him as is son inlaw only
Bunch of traitors. I read the other day one of Trump’s ex communication staff members told J6 committee that she knows there are a lot of staff that would be willing to talk to them.
I even wonder if some are being paid to do so.
Sickening no one talked about Obama years when we all know some illegal stuff went on; I’m sure Michelle wasn’t a real treat to work for as well.
I’m with you on this. Some of it his fault, some of it not. He was often threatened by his own party to pick certain people or they wouldn’t pass his bills.
Jared is so hard up for money that he has to write a tell-all book about his father-in-law? What an infantile spoiled brat.
One thinks that one would like to hear Bannon’s side of this, oneself.
And who would be better at that?
