IT could have just as easily been multiple ticket winners.
ALOT of people already did play to get to this jackpot.
25% of the nation never knew they had a relative living
where this guy does.
Actually... there is an app for that.
Yes, you can turn a digital photo into a polaroid and there is an app for that.
Anyone in Des Plaines IL trying to find and buy a polaroid camera is going to give themselves away as the winner.
John Candy @ Brewster’s Millions
You can stay anonymous in Illinois. Any winner who would consent to be interviewed on television deserves what they get.
Actually, you can do some really cool things with a polaroid. Before it finishes being developed, peel of the paper and scratch it with a pencil and you can push the emulsion around for some really cool affects. neat art. you just better work fast.
The winner is getting $1.337 BILLION dollars. I think they have enough people playing.
hee hee
That makes sense. Good luck finding a camera that takes polaroids or the film.
Well I did play but normally don’t.
I would have bought FreeRepublic and made a few changes.
Ban a few too. Not mentioning names unless I’m pressured. 😆
Where’s Hunter?
Right now some employer in the area is going to have somebody who doesn’t show up for work on Monday.
I’m sure if chicago and illinois could tax it at 100% they sure dam would.
IMHO, this is a scam. Essentially more money for government, as if it’s not big enough now.

And it promotes an ethic of unearned riches and lack of saving for the future.
Thank God the author used three digits after the decimal point, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to comprend the story.
You would lose that bet.
Huge lotteries’ purpose is getting people to voluntarily pay extra money to governments, not to make the maximum number of people happy.
If you were accurate, games like Lotto America would draw more money than MM and PB. Lotto America’s big jackpot odds are about 26 million to one versus MM’s 302+million to one. LA’s current jackpot is over $17 million.
“He’ll be broke once he pays Illinois’ taxes. He might even be in debt when they are finished with him.”
He’ll take the lump sum payment, which should be around $750 million before state and federal taxes. Fed taxes will be roughly 37%, which would be $277,500,000. Illinois has a flat income tax rate of 4.95%. So, 4.95% of $750 million would be $37,125,000. Thus, the total tax liability of the $750 million would be $314,625,000. He walks away with $435,375,000 clear.
“ Better luck next time gang ”
