Is the world edging towards an ‘accidental’ nuclear war? UK National Security Adviser warns of warfare due to communication breakdown between the West, Russia and China.
The West could accidentally stumble into a nuclear war with Russia or China, according to the United Kingdom’s national security adviser Stephen Lovegrove.
He says communication channels between the West and its rivals have collapsed, citing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as the clearest example of this breakdown.

Interesting perspective and post, thanks.
I agree that this nation (I no longer refer to it as “ours” or “mine” - I didn’t leave my country, my country left me, to paraphrase - is now too far gone for any restoration, particularly by the ballot box). It is logical then that the actual fall will come with a strong push from ascendant outside enemies who have waited many decades for the opportunity.

Well .... maybe getting vaporized is better than radiation poisoning?
Thank you!!
“Well .... maybe getting vaporized is better than radiation poisoning?”
If I had a choice, I would definitely choose vaporization.
Oh I think trump will win too. I’m not sure how much good it will do.
When it comes to my predictions in sports or geopolitics, I'm wrong 90% of the time, so I think we're all safe. 😜
Ugh, I hate to say it, but I see it your way 100%! I’ve recently thought of our red blooded kids, joining the military to prepare and/or fight our enemies abroad... but the battle is now within our borders.
We have never needed Middle eastern crude. We have plenty.
I have been waiting for a tacticle nuke to go off over some bank in Kyev. The dems have been stealing money from them since USSR broke up. Evidence of their crimes are smack dab in the middle of the war zone.
“Oh I think trump will win too. I’m not sure how much good it will do.”
...maybe we’ll all be able to relax a little bit... that would be good enough for me... naaah, never happen...
“I’m wrong 90% of the time, so I think we’re all safe.”
...yeah, I’m wrong 90% of the time too, and here we are, right? Doesn’t feel too safe...
...well, it has this to be said for it: the world would be a lot simpler afterwards...
I thought one of the most interesting parts of Al Jazeera’s in-depth look at gasoline prices was, the US imports and exports crude, and it imports and exports refined product... did you know California is an energy island, too? No pipelines going in, you can’t truck or rail petro products in, California has to import its gas and oil...
...it’s all a heck of a lot more complicated than I could have imagined. Al Jazeera’s experts - all of whom were American, and working for oil or investment companies, so not rabidly communist or pro-Muslim - say they expect Russia to become an energy also-ran in the next few years... Compact says they expect Russia’s energy strengths to defeat the West’s economic pressures. Both are smart sources, and I wish I had some idea which was right...
