Russian soldiers appeared to castrate a Ukrainian war prisoner in a video circulating online, drawing international shock and condemnation.
In the graphic video, a soldier wearing blue surgical gloves and a distinctive wide-brimmed black hat stomps on the head of a prisoner lying facedown on the ground. Another soldiers stands on the prisoner’s legs.
The prisoner is wearing camouflage, with part of the pants cut away, and his hands are bound behind his back. A blue and yellow patch on his shoulder identifies him as Ukrainian.
The assailant then mutilates the prisoner using a box cutter-type knife with a green handle, while his victim lies splayed on the ground, struggling. The soldier in the hat removes the bloody body part, lifts it for the camera and tosses it aside.

It was unclear when and where the video was filmed, and it has not been definitively verified by official sources.
The attacker’s face was not visible in the video, but investigators were attempting to identify him based on his clothing, hat and other details.
It was unclear what happened to the castrated soldier afterward. The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission said that in another video, the soldier appeared to have been shot in the head and dragged into a ditch. Advertisement
The video elicited shock, horror and condemnation after it circulated on Thursday and Friday.
An adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Mykhailo Podolyak, said that Russian “propagandists delightedly showed a group of [Russian] tyrants crippled a [Ukrainian] captive.”
“The fog of war will not help the Russian executioners avoid punishment,” he said. “We will identify and get to each of you.”
Ukrainian parliament member Inna Sovsun said the Russian troops were from the Chechen Ahmat unit and called for international action.
The EU’s foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, called the incident a “heinous atrocity” and accused Russian forces of war crimes.
Marie Struthers, Amnesty International’s director for eastern Europe and Central Asia, said, “This horrific assault is yet another apparent example of complete disregard for human life and dignity in Ukraine committed by Russian forces.” Advertisement
Russia has not commented.
Russian troops have been accused of widespread atrocities during their invasion of Ukraine against both opposing soldiers and civilians.
On Friday, Moscow and Kyiv accused each other of shelling a prison holding Ukrainian war prisoners in an area of eastern Ukraine held by pro-Russian separatists.
The attack on the prison in Olenivka killed 53 Ukrainian POWs who fought in Mariupol and wounded another 75.
Both sides said the assault was premeditated with the aim of covering up atrocities.
After the massacre, Russia’s embassy in the UK said that soldiers from Ukraine’s Azov battalion, which was central to the fight in Mariupol, should be executed.
“[Azov] militants deserve execution, but death not by firing squad but by hanging, because they’re not real soldiers. They deserve a humiliating death,” the embassy wrote on Twitter.

“Sickening evil” video footage shows a bound and gagged Ukrainian prisoner of war being castrated by Russian soldiers — before he is shot dead and dragged through the street on a rope.
The barbaric footage — confirmed Friday by a Ukrainian politician and journalist — shows camouflaged soldiers allegedly led by Vitaly Aroshanov kicking the distressed soldier in the head as he lies bound by ropes on the floor.
With his mouth gagged, the tortured prisoner moans in desperation as the troops rip his pants to expose his backside.
As he squirms and moans, they use a box cutter to hack away at his genitalia, eventually cutting it off and throwing it on the ground nearby.
“After the torture, he was shot dead and his body dragged through the streets on a rope,” the war news site Ukraine Watch said Friday of a second part of the video, which it refused to share “for ethical reasons.”
The torture first emerged Thursday on several Russian Telegram channels as a sick warning to Ukrainian mothers not to send their sons to war, the Kyiv Post said. The soldiers speak in Russian and stand near a car with the capital letter Z, the symbol used for the Kremlin’s troops.

Yes, for all those interested, 4Chan went over this video frame by frame, as well as the videos of the Russian soldier they are citing with the cowboy hat. They pulled two stills, in one the Russian has a smoothly curved outer edge of the ear, the guy in the castration video, though a similar-looking person, has an angular dimple on the outer edge of the ear. Not the same guy. Plus castrator guy was wearing western sneakers, Russian soldier was wearing combat boots, and there was the issue of if Russian soldiers would have blue rubber gloves to grab the genitals with as they were ripped off. A Westerner filming something like this will have blue rubber medical gloves, and want to use them, a russian soldier on a battlefield, maybe not.
Whoever made this saw the news video of the Russian with the distinctive hat, got an identical hat, and a lookalike, and filmed a real castration and murder, probably of a Russian soldier dressed as a Ukrainian and bound, for this video.
Again, if Soros, Biden, and the fake not-elected government of the US supports it, it is likely evil and criminal.
We should not be spending our money and depleting our military stockpiles in Ukraine to preserve the fake Ukraine government Soros installed in a fake revolution, that replaced the lawfully elected Ukrainian government in 2014.

It was more than castration. The captive’s hands were bound tightly behind his back. He was placed on his belly, and his legs were stretched apart with ropes. The Russian cut around all of the genitals then pulled on them until they ripped out of the body. As he bled out, the war criminal shot him. Then they proceeded to drag the body down the street to show it off for viewing by Ukrainian mothers of soldiers.
The incident has been investigated by many. The Russian war criminal has been fully doxxed with all personal information distributed around the world. Thousands of other war criminals will also be brought to public justice.

A Ukrainian woman Member of Parliament became angry and posted the video to Twitter for the world to see before being banned by Twitter and later resubscribed. In an earlier war crime a few months ago, a Russian soldier raped a small girl child in a video. Russians have raped and murdered many girls and women in Ukraine and murdered many POWs.
