A Baltimore family is suing Sesame Place in Bucks County for $25 million over claims of racial discrimination, alleging multiple costumed characters ignored a 5-year-old Black girl during a meet-and-greet event last month.
The lawsuit comes in the wake of a video, shared widely on social media, showing two other Black girls apparently being snubbed by a costumed employee during a parade at the park in Langhorne, outside Philadelphia. Sesame Place apologized in a statement and promised more training for its employees after the video went viral earlier this month.

I have a bottomless pit of disgust for these litigation pigs.
Sue people knowing it’s cheaper for them to settle than to fight it.
“It’s a hustle, sweetheart.”
I hope the actors in the suits were all black ... that would be hilarious.
I learned early on in my working life how these “Amish” pieces of excrement operate. Started working in a grocery store when I was 18, and a common ploy was for fat welfare sows to “accidentally” drop a scrap of produce on the floor in that department and then obviously try to slip on it. This was the days before cameras, but the manager would frequently watch from a secret vantage point. It was attempted frequently.
You dont have to remind me. I hate these ghetto animals. Saw it multiple times on the train.
They weren’t just ignored: they be dissed.
Here is the video. Suspect the kid was waved no because she was on and crossing the yellow line where the parade vehicles mark for safety. All the other spectators are properly standing behind the line.
Matt Walsh had a segment about this incident with a great commentary on it (as usual.) The feral parasites were just itching for a slight that they could exploit. Sesame place originally defended their actions, but then caved. Stupid.
The trial lawyers are just as bad
No wonder they are DimWitz Some of the most arrogant people I have known
Ppl can’t even comment on that tweet unless they’re her followers. I’d give those race baiters a piece of my mind, except they obviously have no shame.
Scumbags.
I imagine Sesame Place is associated with Sesame Street.
If that’s the case, I’m having trouble working up a lot of sympathy - they enabled these thugs by pandering to them.
Of course they will learn nothing from this other than to grovel more, apologize more profusely while paying up.
They should try that in Russia.
Don’t hug me and I’ll sue? The white folk before them was also waved off. Should they also sue?
Benjamin Crump is involved. That should tell you all you need to know about it. Crump is a vulture.

Popcorn sales off the chart.
How would they feel if they were disqualified for a Supreme Court nomination, or a spot in college, or a seat on a corporate board, because of their skin color?
It looks like the character in the costume kind of waved at the two black girls and may have assumed that was recognition enough. You’d have to see a video of the entire episode to see how he or she dealt with all of the other kids (white and black).
““The performer portraying the Rosita character confirmed that the ‘no’ hand gesture seen several times in the video was not directed at any specific person, rather it was a response to multiple requests from someone in the crowd who asked Rosita to hold their child for a photo which is not permitted,” reads the statement.
You’ll also notice that the two kids were in the street outside the white line used for containing the crowds and the character is unable to see much below waist level. It is possible the character would have stopped briefly if a parent had been available so the character wouldn’t accidentally harm the kids being unable to see them well.
In the military youth groups, I have worked with characters from Disney, Great America, and Warner Brothers and they all had the concern of sight problems and losing a kid underfoot due to the costume. This is why if they are out on the walk, assistance personnel are very near them to protect from this accident and help the crowd be contained and safe.
And there is a reverse to this situation.
“The employee who plays Mickey Mouse went to the hospital. Two women who portray Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck said they were groped.
The three Disney World employees who bring life to the beloved costumed characters filed law-enforcement reports earlier this month claiming visitors touched them inappropriately at the theme parks.
It was unfortunate, but I don’t think it was a racial snub. The high five he gave a guest scene in the video was with an adult and the adult was outside the line in the street.

We had (white) neighbors who cashed in with a slip-and-fall at a grocery store at a time when the father was unemployed.
The next time he was unemployed they cashed in at the bowling alley.
I experienced something similar with my kids. It’s infuriating when the joy is drained from one’s child for no good reason. The aforementioned racial opportunism, however, is BS.
