She’s not incompetent; the 5th Circuit reversed Judge Hughes’ dismissal of the indictment. Hughes is corrupt.

She screwed up...
She messed up so bad a criminal wasn’t indicted....
his comments about her gender were inappropriate but it damn sure sounds like he a legitimate reason for banning her from his cases.
Sounds like she wound up letting a criminal go free due to incompetence....
Very little to go on here, but based on what is presented, I’m willing to be her mistake was a huge one, that a professional member of the bar should not be making.

Sad that people will chastise the judge for his comments while the real problem was the incompetent female prosecutor that people will not chastise.

I’ve had personal experience with Judge Lynn Hughes. Corrupt as hell and will F%(k over pro se litigants in dismissing cases, even if there is no jurisdiction in Federal Courts.
Most judges hate pro se litigants and act accordingly, regardless of the law. Appellate judges are not inclined to fix their mistakes on appeal either. Pro se litigants are kind of rebellion against the lawyer class, and most judges want to put down those rebels. Don't ever file pro se unless willing to file an appeal, and know how to do that.
He is a complete asshole, and everyone knows it. Big Business and Big law firms love him because he always rules in their favor.
Judges are never disciplined for intentional misapplication of law, and appellate courts will not issue the prerogative writs and make the judge pay the costs like the old days either. If anything is said, it is said privately, not publicly. Then our elites chide us about "the rule of law" when people protest clear injustice like January 6th, 2021.

Glad you see that someone like yourself actually decided to use your brain vs having a thoughtless knee jerk reaction like most. regardless of if you are dealing with a women or a man this prosecutor screwed up and let a possible criminal go free. For all we know she did on purpose. She does not deserve her job. Banning her was the right choice and it was a good message to send. The judge just got carried away with his insults.

“Impeachment is the correct remedy for this.”
The prosecutor was incompetent and her client got screwed. She was not worthy of being in the courtroom.

That’s your opinion. This judge seems notorious for his bad conduct.

That’s still your opion, and I don’t care.
I care more about the judge acting like an idiot.

The 5th Circuit has not hesitated to bench slap Judge Hughes. This this at least the 5th time they have done so.
I know how to file appeals.

Fundamentally, appellate courts exist to correct errors in the inferior court. When the lower court judge intentionally refuses to follow binding precedents, it isn't error. It is called misconduct. When misconduct isn't punished, when the appellate court simply comments on "the learned judge" below, it simply encourages more insubordination, to use a military term. The point of the prerogative writs was not simply to correct such malfeasance or nonfeasance, but to hold the inferior judge accountable financially. That simply isn't done anymore.
Even at the appellate level, misapplication of the law gets ignored as well. Previously, SCOUTS would often grant certiorari, reverse and remand to correct such issues without further briefing. Today, that rarely happens, since SCOTUS appears to think its main function is to set judicial policies, but then ignores instances where the inferior circuit court fails, or refuses, to follow its precedents.
I know how to file appeals.
That's good. Lawyers frequently act as members of a privileged club, who put their own interests ahead of their clients. Justice O'Connor once noted that many important cases come from pro se litigants.
