Itā€™s up to Desantis to decide. No law stopping him from running for prez in 2024. Reagan ran for prez in 1968, a year after being inaugurated as governor.

I am pretty confident of this: as president Desantis would hire good people. Trump didnā€™t.

Democrats rig elections. With the FBI and MSM helping the steal along with GOP RINOs, what country will DeSantis be elected to?

you already know he’s already stated his attention is focused on this year’s election, not a presidential campaign next year and yet you continue to push the lie that he’s going to start running for president next year...

“but if you do, a reply to post 11 would be appreciated.”

I don’t see #11 needing a response but I Will post the acceptance statement from the doctor:

ā€œWe must make health policy decisions rooted in data and not in fear. From California, I have observed the different approaches taken by governors across the country and I have been impressed by Governor DeSantisā€™ leadership and determination to ensure that Floridians are afforded all opportunities to maintain their health and wellness, while preserving their freedoms as Americans. It is a privilege to join his team and serve the people of Florida,ā€ Dr. Ladapo said.

His ability to fend off the media is not what I would worry about.

Trump is a known quantity on domestic and foreign policy issues. DeSantis is an unknown quantity when it comes to foreign adventures and general warmongering.

The internet rumor, which is probably worth what it’s printed on, is that the Trump/DeSantis ticket deal has already been struck. Who knows.

At this point the only thing that IMHO stops Trump from running would be an unexpected age-related health issue, which we all hope won’t happen. Trump is still our best bet for a range of reasons, not the least of which is his apparent new understanding of what will be required to “drain the swamp”. He’ll be ruthless, which is what’s needed.

This article is an absolute hoot -- just another lefty metrosexual 'journalist' who feels privileged to dish it out, and then cries to mommy when he gets smacked in return. Poor widdle baby.

The fact is that DeSantis knows he is dealing with partisan hacks when dealing with the media, and he's surrounded himself with people who have the same awareness, disdain, and brass to tell them to kindly take a leap.

It's a good thing. A very good thing.

DeSantis has taken more questions from the media this week than Biden has in the last 3 years.

I think that your praise/criticism is fair enough. I hadn’t realized that he is only mid-40’s until reading big bob’s post and I then looked him up on Wiki.

The guy looks too good to be true—everything one could want, with the exception of the Yale/Harvard education.

(Disclosure, there is a little pot calling a big kettle black—but I do insist that “They’re too cocky and they can’t play hockey.)

That really isn’t De Santis’ call.

If God or Trump decides Trump isn’t running, then from what I see, I’d hope that DeSantis will run.

Trump has always struck me as the sort of person who calls his own number a little too much, but in the end that is between, him, God and whomever else he seeks advice from. In the end he was clearly better than nearly all of the other options in 2016 (or 2012, or 2008, or 2004, or 2000). I wouldn’t want to argue that he was clearly inferior to any from those years.

I suspect the ‘rats cheated so brazenly to get Brandon elected because they were scared sh*tless that President Trump, having nothing to lose in terms of future political aspirations, was ready to clean the Swamp and wipe out every creature in it. With the help of guys like Rintintin they will go all out to destroy him in 2024, AND FOR THE SAME REASON!

Trump promised to drain the swamp. He didnā€™t promise to drain it in his second term, but to hire it in his first term. He didnā€™t say, ā€œduring my first term I will hire establishment people who hate me and my supporters, but donā€™t worry Iā€™ll hire better people after four years of hiring bad people.ā€ Why should I believe heā€™s now capable of hiring good people when all he has showed me is that he hires bad people? If I were a never-trumper, Iā€™d love his hires, because most are nevertrumpers or agree with them on policy.

No,I despise many of not most of the people he hired. If you donā€™t , you have no real conservative philosophy, just a cultish devotion to a man.
